Although I wasn't born in Lithuania, my ancestors came from there. Fortunately they left Ponevezh in the early 1870's and made their way to Jerusalem where my grandfather was born. He was taken by the turkish army at age 16 to dig trenches in turkey and at the end of WW1 ended up in the USA, he never made it back to Jerusalem. On his death bed he encouraged my father to move to Israel, I was 16 at the time. I have been here ever since and love my life in theis amazing place. I often think that if my family had never left Lithuania they most likely would not be so fortunate as Sergio's grandmother. I might not have been here to write these words.

When I have little faith sometimes my daughter always brings this testimony to remembrance - she says "God had Serg's Nanna chucked over the fence" and so true we should NEVER despair or doubt God's ability to preserve and deliver. He is mighty to save and He works in ways we might not expect. You can't hurry the Lord but He arrives right on time! We only need to be still and wait upon Him in the day of trouble infirmity or adversity. We love your Nanna so much Sergio and often remember to thank the Lord for her. Her love for the Lord and how she just beams with life is so wonderful! She is so right about the lonely thing! Once you know Him you're never lonely! Many blessings in Christ Jesus Yeshua our Messiah to Grandma and all the family!
