Stop using the wrong camera mode

Which camera mode do you prefer to shoot in? I'd love to hear how you settle on which one to use.

I accidentally had my camera on auto and was truly humbled by the sheer beauty of the image captured! This video was brilliantly put together btw, great stuff.

Had some purist say I am a noob for using auto features I just enjoy photography, I shoot film and sometimes you can’t get around manual mode. But my preference is usually aperture priority I enjoy the manual focus experience…. But sometimes autofocus is just nice to have The modes are there to make life easier for the photographer. When there is very little time to take a shot. These features allow you take pictures you would otherwise miss… it’s great

I heard a pro photographer once say that we pay thousands of $ for cameras with awesome technology, only to reduce its uses to just manual. As you wisely said, cameras should do the heavy lifting for us. Also I love it when you said to think backwards, starting with the result you want, and then adjust the settings, really well put! Thank you for doing such a useful summary!
