You would think camera companies would want to promote their products with popular youtubers. This is why I think most camera companies will not deal with me. It's not just because they want shill tubers who blindly advertise their products without pointing out the negatives.

Companies want to work with agreeable yes men who will push their product. Corporate types also shy away from any whiff of humor or sarcasm, generally speaking. Regular people offering honest opinions on a product are more rare, but far more interesting to watch as a viewer in my opinion.

Yes, but let’s be honest why would you spend time on someone who expects 240 or now 480fps slo mo and perfect stabilization, even while walking with a wide lens? Yes it is amusing, but these companies are not in it for the creativity, if you don’t fit the vision you are not in. You can be critical, but you have to get some credit first. Is it fair, no, but marketing isn’t fair. Let’s not kid ourselves, influencers are marketing.

The monopod I use wasn't designed for photographers, but for shooters of a different kind. It's the Primos Trigger Stick Gen 2. There's not a plate or screw on top to attach your camera or lens, rather there's a sort of cradle arm in which I rest my large lens (well, actually, the cradle arm is removable, but the screw that remains is larger than the standard camera tripod mount, so you'd need to search for an adapter). The operation for adjusting the height is very quick and convenient. The handle is comfortable to hold, so the monopod could double as a walking stick as your age begins to rob you of sure footing.

Spec sheets and advertising are designed to sell a product but rarely are they there to inform. I was in a similar situation a few years ago. Companies inviting me to meetings, asking for my input on future products, sending me the products for review and then...I started mentioning what was missing, what didn't quite work the way they said it did. Ooops 😂Yeah, off his ass outside the circle of trust. But on the bright side at least I can buy the products myself and say what I want about them. Always a silver lining 👍 Anyway, great video as always.

Panasonic needs a longer prime, but they probably don't want to directly compete with the 300mm f4, and 400mm might be a hard sell for a mft prime. But just to have one that works with the TC and has dual I.S. would be worth it. If Olympus and Panasonic didn't act like children and worked together to make their lenses work as good as they can be, that would be nice as well. But yes: just make it 350mm. That would distinguish it. People could break their heads trying to work out what 350 times two is and what that would be with a 1.4 TC... content for days!

2:25 - The Sony Burano is trash. The ND system Sony is using doesn't cut out infrared light. My magnetic Freewell Eiger IR Cut NDs do. IRND4, IRND8, IRND16, IRND32 and IRND64. Stack up to two for 2-11 stops of reduction. Granted, it's awkward compared to a variable ND, I agree that that an electronic variable ND should be a feature in more affordable cameras. Panasonic will do it right when they get around to it.

BTW, all the lenses looked great on that rig today, but why not stick with either the sony with an AF lens or put that nikkor 85mm t/1.8 on a Z6iii (but use the nikon FTZ adapter) and enjoy AF instead of fumbling around with manual focus?

What a coincidence. Camera companies won't talk to me either! I mean not at word. And I have no idea why.

The second set is better in my opinion. I would like to have this setup as a gift from you to shoot video with it.

I think you should be proud of what you’ve created, a stable community of unstable fans watching an unstable talent. I’m sorry to inform you you don’t have a million subscribers, not half that, not 1/5 that, yet over 100k is a fantastic achievement for being as weird and not fake as you are. Your optics aren’t advertiser friendly, as you haven’t found your perfect camera yet.
