After learning from Corey on the Elk101 youtube channel and the UEH subscription, one thing that resonated with me tonight was John explaining the selflessness that Corey demonstrates year in and year out. It must truly be a blessing to have such a genuine person, great elk caller, and one of the best elk hunting minds in the biz put his tag on the back burner while he encourages you to go out there and make it happen. We should all be so lucky to have a hunting partner and friend like that. Wouldn't really be fair to the elk if we all did though.

That feeling of accomplishing your goal is priceless... I've felt it many times and I thank God for giving me the opportunity of hunting and the outdoors... We live in the BEST country in the world, to be able to get out and DO the things that we want, and mine is too chase that special FEELING no matter where it takes me. Favorite episode of the season so far. Glad Marcus was able to recover his bull. The new format honestly feels a little crowded as it lacks some of the educational aspects and forgoes highlighting friendships and camaraderie that tend to define successful moments in this type of hunting. You can be successful whether you harvest an elk or not when you spend your time with good people hiking and pursuing elk. This episode provided some small parts of that story. Seeing John get behind the bow was a real treat. It’s easy to see John’s kindness, selflessness, humility, and the genuine shared friendships among you all. The mutual appreciation for one another and the strength those relationships provide all year long are a big part of why people should get out and hunt together. That was a great bull and a great shot. Congratulations John!
