Team ELK101 has found the mother-load of bugling bulls, and with Corey behind the bow, it's just a matter of time.
And Team SKOUSEN is still in the middle of some of the best elk hunting action of this season, but Mark is faced with a choice. Even under the best conditions, the frontal shot on an elk isn't for everyone. Will Mark let this nice 6x6 bull walk, or will he take the frontal shot?

Frontal shot was a death ticket Nicely done. I noticed at between 21:30 and 21:35 an elk turn and bolt center screen in the distance. Then later you got barked at. You guys rock 1 constant elk action Well done! I totally agree, these elk are definitely educated!

Team Skousen way to go. Nice shot Mark. I have never taken a frontal shot. I was presented one once, but the Bull was more than 20 yards away and I was not comfortable taking that shot. At less than 20 yards, like what you had. I would have taken that shot. Nicely done.

I think elk hunting is like the Hitch principle from the movie - you can get 90% of the way there by yourself, but you need the elk to cooperate the last 10%. I'm glad the Skousens sealed the deal!

Wow I admit I'm jealous. My one bucket list is to harvest any elk with my bow. I've come close in Washington but I recently moved to Arkansas and I'm 53 now and am wondering if I will even get a chace to try again. But the Lord knows and I have peace in that. My son got his first deer this season and i was so proud of him, we are all enjoying his delicious venison. Thank you Lord for that blessing.

I had always wondered if the “triangle” method would work. Not to mention what that method would even be called. So I learned two new things pretty quick in this episode. I was excited to see that it did in getting a bull to start talking. I always walk away with some form of added knowledge. Other than the awesome footage, the knowledge is a good enough reason to watch again and again. I’m also liking these added gear dump videos as well.
