That would be very difficult, and it wouldn't work in the long term. The best is to buy a new cable.

Hello, I have this lens and the AF its not working, how can I diagnose that the motor its the problem and not the sensor or the brush? Regards from Chile

If the sensor is the problem, then the lens is hunting for focus. You can check the brush by measuring the conductivity of the cable and looking at the brush if that is intact. If the motor doesn't move at all, then most likely the ultrasonic motor is faulty.
