We runnin because Russ isn’t a drop back passer. He needs the run to open up the playaction so he can throw it deep. That was his problem in Denver. He couldn’t do the drop back passing. Also his problem is he’s not hitting the spots over the linebackers in the middle of the field so we might as well not be running it🤷🏽‍♂️

They were actually throwing well but just as momentum in a drive was picking up, Smiih would call back-to-back runs in a tight front coverage. The playcalling was just horrible. Like Russ said, they had a chance to win it with 3:50 left and they couldn’t close it out and left it open for the Browns. The refs did miss some serious calls (I think cause visibility due to the snow), but the Steelers had a chance to seal it and didn’t. This game will help our younger guys grow and improve. The steelers offense had the browns offense beat in every statistical category except one. Steelers had more passing yards, more rushing yards, more YPA, more time of possession, better 3rd down conversion rate, more 1st downs and won the turnover battle. The Browns were ready for this game and as usual, the Steelers didn’t adjust well to that. And where was our vaunted defense in the 4th quarter ?? All we had to do was hold the Browns to 3 and we had time to get the game winning field goal at the other end. I get that it’s only 4 days after the Ravens game, but if the Steelers are to prove they’re still a contender, they need to win games like this. Kansas City struggles all the time with their division opponents, but they still find ways to win. So, that meeting we have with them in December will determine if the Steelers are serious contenders. Not to mention, that game at Philadelphia as well.

Play calling is predictable for as big as Najee Harris is he runs like he is 120 pounds coach Tomlin has bad clock management puts our defense in so many tough situations. This switching out Qbs is getting out of hand disrupts any kind of rhythm. If it wasn't for field goals your team would never win any games. Wrong plays are usually being called on third and fourth downs. Receivers need to do a much better job at getting open, and the passer must do more to get the ball down field ! Stop with all the 💩

Too much running on first down which ended up in 2nd and 3rd down passing situations and the Browns knew they could pass rush. Terrible punt late and use of a timeout for no reason after the penalty that should have been intentional grounding. The refs called it "illegal touching" but there wasn't an eligible receiver in the vicinity and Winston was still in the pocket so it should have been loss of down and intentional grounding. That first half looked like the Steelers from last year with a putrid 3 points in one half of football.

Tomlin absolutely lost this game. It’s the same thing for the past 6 years once Ben declined. The game has passed Tomlin by and when he doesn’t have a HOF QB and a top 5 all time defense he has produced utter mediocrity.

@ really I dont remember fields choking anything he threw a pass he was told which you can’t blame him and then on top of that if you have fields in you wouldn’t lose 25 yards off 4 sacks it’d be 1 sack for 3 yards or so and then he’d rush for 60+
