People honestly don’t realize how many people in racing have that kind of weight on their shoulders. It’s a bit more out in the open with motocross. But for every champion, there’s dozens of bankrupt families who put everything into their efforts. Cam’s story is yet another inspiring journey. This podcast should really be getting aggressively pushed by motoamerica. The depth (grit) of the grid is really fascinating.

WOW, thank you James and Corey for this amazing Podcast. I agree with one of the comments below saying MotoAmerica should get behind your effort, your interviews with these amazing racers are genuine & honest. We're all fortunate for your efforts. What more needs to be said about Cam P??!! I was lucky to have met him in '19 at Supercamp, he is an amazing young man from an equally amazing family. See you all at Mid-Ohio!!

I’ve ridden almost all my life (in my 50’s). Love bikes and racing. Trackdays, club racing, coaching, done all that. But listening to these guys trading away their youth, education, family and often their health for a maybe opportunity…it’s kinda terrible. Obviously the industry is at a low point but to work so hard and sacrifice so much for a few good years. Man, it’s just tough to hear. These interviews are amazing and revealing so glad I stumbled in here. Keep up the good work.

Cam's uncle David Petersen raced the 500 GP's between 1984 - 1986 and was a Suzuki factory rider for HB Suzuki Team Gallina in 1986. Another uncle, Keith Petersen, was a mechanic for Jon Ekerold in 1980 when he won the world 350 championship.
