Same with me Cameron, the You re no Good solo is so overlooked. Its (slow) groovy tempo makes it one of EVH finest solo . Other 2 songs we rarely talk about are Dirty Movies (same slow funkish tempo) and Take Your Wiskey Home which to me si the ultimate Roth era VH song. There are some gems in Hagar's catalogue too . I wished Eddie would have made a "multiple singer" record like Slash and Tony Iommi did. Not to forget Ygnwie Inspiration record simply outstanding

I suspect he'll have ran out of ideas. His playing pretty much stopped enhancing in the early 90s methinks. It was just channelled more creatively through different songs to the Roth years.

Hey Cameron. First off, I want to thank you for what you do! You really help the community out by posting these vids. The lick starting at 8:22 min, you state that the first note on the B string is a down stroke and the notes on E string are up, down, up, then repeating the lick by hitting the B string with a downstroke. For this to happen you have to lift the pick over the B string, then downstroke. Wouldn't make sense to hit the B string on the return with an up stroke? Is the way you showed us the best way or should we play the scale pattern to what works best for us? Just curious because I want to practice this one hard and I want to do it correctly. If your way is the best way to play it more fluidly, then I will concentrate on your technique.

Thanks a lot for the kind words. Try out different approaches and see what works best for you. Could be my approach, it could be yours but ultimately stick with what feels most natural to you.

For the longest time I wondered how EVH made that diving "WOW" kinda sound that Cam does right at the beginning that precedes the two harmonics. Seems like he just flicks the G string with the fretting hand and dives the bar. Maybe there's something more to it? Thanks for the video. Everything about it is awesome!

Either slide up and pull off before diving, or start with the bar depressed and flick the string. In both cases, the string has to be plucked very hard.
