I immediately recognized that Tesira. I've got one in my office at work that I had pulled from a room because the power supply had failed. Biggest issue is that they use a special one that is kinda rare and a tad on the expensive side. I just bypassed it in hardware since the conference features in that room weren't used anymore, and we're planning an upgrade in it anyways.

Awesome video, do you have a link for the zigbee drivers, I also have a light with a "dumb" controller that I would love to do the same Thanks ;)
@camerongray15153 күн бұрын
These were the exact drivers I used: www.domadoo.fr/en/connected-lighting/7062-sunricher-driver-led-dimmable-65w-zigbee-30-65w-2-sorties-105301590001.html. However, it's important to make sure the replacement driver is suitable for your light. Your existing driver will either be constant current or constant voltage, so your new one will need to be the same type and either the same voltage or current rating as the old one also ensuring that it can handle the power of your light fitting. The driver I linked above is constant current and uses a phone app to send configuration (including a current limit) to the driver using NFC. Other drivers will have a set of DIP switches or jumpers to configure them. I plan on doing a dedicated video on this in the future.

Why not use an iscsi target from the nas to nvr?
@camerongray15152 сағат бұрын
I could, but that would add additional complexity and points of failure whereas CCTV is the sort of thing I'd want to keep as a self contained, set and forget solution. The NAS is also SSD based and prioritises performance over raw storage capacity whereas chucking a couple of 8 TB HDDs into an NVR will be a much more cost effective solution.

Can you control the triad amps with HA?
@camerongray15152 күн бұрын
They aren't networked in any way, but they have a 12v trigger input that will turn them on when 12v is applied and then turn them off when it's taken away. Would be relatively easy to build something to interface this with HA. Anything else such as audio routing and volume control is handled by the Tesira DSP, the amps are purely amplifiers.

Yeah, it's a great TV but without local dimming it's definitely not equivalent to an OLED/Mini LED TV in terms of quality. It's great for a kitchen where I don't want the look of a regular TV but not something I'd necessarily use as a primary TV.
