That plate you put a washer on the power valve at 5:40 shouldn’t be tight it needs to have a bit of movement because that spring it sits in acts like a mini shock absorber for when the arm comes up and down.
@MultiMwe29 күн бұрын
Indeed, that arm must be loose. I protects the powervalve actuator mechanism in the event the power valve gets stuck. The mechanism will push the spring and not damage itself.

make a video on how to restore or polish up plastics. I bet a lot of people need this.
@winru24 жыл бұрын
I think he did a while ago. He used a cleaning product that also shined the plastics and made them brighter.
@fastkidz86144 жыл бұрын
Also if it has stress marks just very lightly go over it with a heat gun make sure to be light and conservative as to not completely melt the plastic

3:35 it's not so much the area of the exhaust port that the 'power valve' affects but the height of the exhaust port. The higher the top edge of the port the earlier it starts to scavenge the exhaust gas which produces power at higher revs. When the port top edge is lower it produces power at lower revs. 😉

For those who work on the RM power valves be sure to look at the electrical schematic and notice the power valve solenoid. Not all models have the solenoid. If it’s not actuating as it should your bike may not operate at optimum performance levels. As I understand it the solenoid operates like a waste gate.
