The LSW might be my favorite underrated and quite easy LMGs. If vanu wasn't so plagued with Orion syndrome they might see this gem get more use.

One thing to worry about with VS weapons is that there are some weapons with an atrociously blinding muzzle flash, that is solid (not translucent almost at all) and covers a large portion of the screen, even going so far as to cover the sights while aiming except if you are willing to use 3.4x or higher. The ONLY way for these weapons to be "usable" is if you are willing to fork over extra certs for a flash suppressor/suppressor, and sacrifice the chance of using any other barrel attachments for the rest of that weapon's existence. So yea...not "easy" to use in many circumstances.

For Vanu, I have some opinions on the easiest weapons to play For ARs the Lacerta has to be mentioned. It's just a laser beam that's unforgiving if you dare to strafe, but if you stand still and just pump bullets down range, you're sure to hit your target. For Carbines, I have two favorites, for one the Serpent VE92, if you just want to delete any target close range and secondly, especially for light assault, the Horizon for when you're flying around and try to hit people. If you want to switch it up and get an SMG instead, I love the Canis with its high damage and large magazine. Rarely will you be able to stop an infil rocking the Canis and clicking heads, with the large mags and ammo pool, you can go on absolute murder sprees in enemy bases. For a long time, the Obelisk was my absolute favorite weapon. You don't need to care about preserving ammo, it has no bullet drop and is deadly at any range, though it is harder to master at the same time, because you need to hit headshots

I think an honorable mention for the NC is the Reaper DMR. True, it requires you to pace yourself due to 24 bullets mag and limited ammo pool but a 200@10m damage gun with flash fast reload that's extremely easy to control it's a beast of a gun for a medic. And it's not even that bad in cqc due to sheer raw power. Probably my favorite AR in the game and extremely easy to work with once you learn how to compensate its downsides. You so good you are popping heads? Well, then it truly shines.

Don't even worry about CQC with the reaper, the shotgun attachment makes it a laughing matter. Someone rushing you? Just tap 1 and 1 tap, 1-shots any unit at point blank.

Thats wild I think the razor was my first gun too.. I think I watched one of wrel's videos a long time ago and he may have mentioned that it was noob friendly. Nice to see you still covering this great game

That's incredibly funny, the Razor was my first as well, to Aurax. I loved the look (because it's pretty much the only NC Carbine with a butt stock) and it felt good to use.

Since returning to the game a few weeks ago after years and years, the Bishop is my personal favorite gun. Every class but the light assault can not only use it, but it works with their playstyles too. I can countersnipe with it, the 3 bodyshot kill at long ranges on most everyone is amazing, no sway like a sniper rifle, and the fire rate is high enough and the hip cone small enoguh, that in close quarters or hipfiring it's still dangerous. I wish it could fit the 3.4x triple chevron scope and an 8 or 10x scope, and maybe had some more interesting attachments, but it's just such a forgiving gun and works on all but one class, which is amazing.

I found myself struggling with these guns actually... First gun I bought was actually the Warden believe it or not. love my scout rifles. was the only gun i bought for YEARS. Then the Vanquisher and Charger came about, I bought those alongside the Punisher.... amazing trio of weapons!

I'd like to see a sidearm guide, I really like running the more goofy unique weapons like the mastodon and jackhammer, but really struggle with knowing what pistol can really fill a "primary weapon" role when your main weapon is only really good at knocking down MAXes or stops being useful outside of ten feet. As a result, I kinda own a lot.

ASP into heavy weapon secondary could solve your issue with jackhammer, shotgun secondary for engie, and I wouldn't even lose much respect for you in engie's case since engie practically requires ASP to be on par with the other classes for infantryside. Sadly, I'm not really familiar with which NC sidearms are good for what.

I'm going to buy all the weapons I can for NC with Certs. I want as much variety as I can for any battlefield. I just got to play on the island area. I also noticed that all the weapons now have a heavy, or calibration receiver for them for better combat. I don't think I ever saw those before.

I wish this game had some weapon lines that were unlocked as you gain levels similar to other FPS games, with the ability to buy the rest of them if you want to.

promise and gauss saw are my only 2 aruaxiums, with the bishop coming next unfortunately I'm burnt out for right now and still have 400 kills to go. Will play some other games and probably make a return during the summer.

I have another recommendation for the carbine class, the AF-4A Bandit, it's like the Cyclone SMG had a lovechild with the Mercenary (starter carbine). It's not as easy to use as ADS'ing the Razor carbine or hipfiring the Cyclone SMG, but it's an absolute monster if you're out of the total starter phase of playing Planetside. Also, on the GD-22S LMG point you made at the end, I think the Anchor LMG is just an overall easier to use and pound for pound better GD-22S, but that's just my personal experience.

Good shout on the Bandit, I was close to putting it in the list but opted against it as it does sport a pretty bouncy recoil and requires a pretty good understanding of recoil management to use effectively. But it was very close.

Ngl I was half expecting GD7F in the list because imo it's hella easy to get a kill with it. Dont need to to aim directly on the enemy if youre just gonna shower them with leads But then again, it IS a bit tricky to handle

One thing I've found to be kind of funny is how Cami has always been so frustratingly "against" slower weapons, and yet always manages to uplift his "favorite" ones. NS-11A is a "workhorse" but the carbine 143/652 weapons with the same or better perks are just "meh". Razor GD-23 was "my first and favorite purchase", but it has a fire rate on par with (actually slightly lower dps) than other slow weapons that he actively condemns. (550 x 167)/143=642 "equivalent" fire rate. Hell, the TR Edition even went so far as to find weapons that only had EXACT the same dps (do the same calculation as I did for the Razor) as the starter weapons--aka "side-grades". Boring options for purchase. This kinda goes to show how shallow the concept of "easiest" weapons really is...I think a better version of the topic would be "best first purchases", which would allow for Cami to point out some of the better weapons for people to get another playstyle with. It puts a different perspective on the whole video, even if it would have "mostly" the same weapons showcased.

Always been partial to the Warden for mid range fights. Almost perfectly vertical recoil makes it simple to control if you need to burst quickly and you can poke those pesky snipers. Not sure how it compares to other NC battle rifles since I don't have them unlocked though.

The Bishop is quite vertical as well and has an extremely consistent 3 shot kill. Quite fun to pull out to countersnipe.

Cool video and all, but holy shit, the clean af transition at around 6:52 with the perfectly fitting Medic Heal-Ability-charges That was insanely well done, or incredible luck :D That being said: I disagree with you regarding the Promise. Especially for the newer players who this video is targeted at, the most important lesson should be burst controll to achieve precision. Taking a weapon that teaches you to not do that (in a way) seems wrong to me... as an LMG I would have gone with the EM6 :) otherwise nice picks :D

Cheers mate, it was very much a fluke I must say. In respect to the Promise, it's very mechanic, while it DOES teach the wrong thing, is actually more forgiving for new players as they learn that burst control. While yes, teaching the skills is important, remaining effective while being taught said skills while being more forgiving is going to net a more rewarding experience. The EM6, while fantastic, will punish lengthier trigger holds in the hands of an inexperienced shooter.

ns-11a, ns-11c, ns-15m are some of the easiest and best weapons in the game, on any faction imho, not sure which the defaults are though, but the other ns weapons I generally don't like, though I could be not thinking of some of them right now :)

I'm surprised the warden isn't on this list. I've found pretty good success with it, especially on my medic, as medic promotes second line gameplay, and the warden rewards you with kills in the second line. Especially with a compensator and hv ammo, at effective ranges, the bullet drop is practically non-existent.

It is nice but miserably slow ADS and really poor hip fire accuracy make it quite useless when you need to get into CQC. The recoil is kind of rough but I haven't tried the compensator yet.

Explain why im consistently inconsistent? My actual K/D is around 2.5, without revives, (dunno if thats 'good' around here) some days I have no trouble, like today, averaging a 6.6 and tomorrow it's a 1.5. :P It's extremely frustrating. xD

Yeah, really my only issue with this list is that the GD-22S is only an HM, rather than a full entry. Imo it's on the level of the Pulsar C in terms of some of the easiest weapons in the entire game to excel with. That said, i understand why you have it only as an HM, given the reasoning you provided

well as a nc player with 10k hours. id say the curve for most guns go VS TR then NC... via recoil learning bloom and spread.. so honestly. if you wanna learn shooting start tr. if you want basically free cheats. vs and if you wanna deep end. nc...

if you can manage headshots pretty consistently, then the 11c is probably the easiest gun in the game. decent fire rate, good reload speed, very manageable recoil, and the extra 5 rounds is a cherry on top.

The Bandit has a pretty bouncy recoil pattern that is going to be alien to some new players - the Razor is much easier to control compared to the other options. The Charger... Well, that thing has extra considerations that a new player won't really be worrying about either.

The main thing that new players should know and what is not told enough - weapons are more inaccurate the more you hold a trigger. Dont shoot whole mag non stop and you'll be surprised how much you can hit suddenly.

The Cyclone needs to be retuned. It's the best SMG by far, and using other SMGs is simply worse in every way. Weapons in this game are meant to be sidegrades, but the Cyclone is an upgrade over every other gun in the category.

In theory yes, which is why I made such a point of it in this video. But as I just responded to UnrealKalel, the benefit of the Promise is that is more forgiving to new players as they learn the importance of burst control further. It provides a more rewarding onramp as players learn more about the wider mechanics.

Found the NC crybaby. literally nobody good at the game will say that the Betel takes more skill to use. The same skill you need to use it applies to any other full auto gun with more than NS15 levels of "recoil".

While the Cyclone fits the title, I feel like it's a bad recommendation for new players as it feels like cheating. If you lose a 1v1 or small scale engagement to anything but a Max/Heavy you are doing something wrong. It doesn't help that the gun practically plays itself and there isn't much to learn.

Gauss Saw not on the list? With compensator + grip it literally has no recoil. Its some of the easiest weapons ive ever used in PS2
