Somebody has to clean the drain Someone has to unclog the bathrooms put your hands in shit Keep the emergency plant in good condition Check the status of power plants Verify the conditions of the structures Change old pipes Pure physical effort and dirty work But someone has to do it... Unlike women, the first question I am always asked is "what did you do to provoke her". I seldom discuss it unless someone ask about the scar. When I left hospital, I became a single parent with two children aged 6 years and the baby of 18 months. That is what a man does. But this doesn't define my life. I would find myself in my car, on my way to my office job, and suddenly I’d be at a stoplight watching 10-15 male construction workers tearing up and rebuilding another part of the highway in 100 degree weather. Never any women. And I thought well those are the jobs men do that the feminists pretend to ignore because they don’t want to fight for the opportunity to experience pain or danger. My fiancé is a mechanic. My brother lifts lumber every day. My dad drills cable for the railroad. I work in a field where people come and talk to me about their feelings, and I keep little chocolates at my desk because I want the space to be warm and inviting. I don’t see it that way at all, and I do beleive that society has let a few grandstanding individuals look as though every woman is “man hating”,or every man is a “pig”. It’s easy to beleive it all when naturally, because of the differences between men and women, these conflicts (on the smallest scale) do and will rear up. But it’s the fear mongering and not just that, the belief in such ideology that will dead set both sexes against each other. It’s rather creepy when you see the battle from a higher position....somehow an enemy wormed it’s way in, and both men and women are taking the bait, due to fear. Being together with the opposite sex takes extreme vulnerability. I usually don’t bother listening to these such speakers because they aren’t so much helping (typically) as they are instigating and trying to win favor, gain an uprising. No doubt there are things that need fixing, but there will always be nervous tension when one sex believes the other is evil. The whole sole reason why there is such animosity is because they really want peace between them. If they didn’t, absolutely no one would be letting the vitriol spew. It’s truly that simple.

men "evolved" to be the providers.. this is why women dislike men who lack confidence..
@poetsrear7 жыл бұрын
Then again, women are(or were) the singular agent capable of cultivating and refining men after their upbringing & adolescence, and this is sadly something completely overlooked today. It is observable, that more and more females are dismissing rather developable and "on par" companion candidates for their more or less obvious flaws in an opportunistic chase of that unrealistically "complete" ideal partner, whereas it could be interpreted that those certain flaws in men exist, through responsibility, as failings of women also, who metaphorically and literally do make men out of boys. Women make Men! So I see it in an archetypal-abstract way, that Woman has lost her natural power (which is the subliminal guidance of the direction of Man through the voluntary mandate given by His love and desire for Her, that in turn establishes transcendent value for His existence) for reasons unknown to me; by cultural manipulation perhaps. Thus Man, being left more or less unrestrained and susceptible to His feral ancestral nature, is slowly succumbing into a state of chaos and understandably seems like an obvious culprit for Her distress of loss of her natural sense of power and strength. For sake of whole Humanity, Woman as an arch-awareness has to find out why She lost contact with Her gracious power (which grants Her a sense of control, peace and meaning in life). She can lend the power of Man in Her pursuit and surely it will aid Her greatly, but She can't expect for Him to assist while being ridiculed and vilified. He would actually LOVE to help and be with Her, but is no pushover to be abused. You see, nothing in temporal worldly existence is ultimately free. For the priviledge of birth you have to decay and die. For beauty of the morning light, night has to fall. For Her love He has to act and provide. So far it is obvious common core. But what is Her desire and Her sacrifice for it? And is She willing to LIVE it all the way, voluntarily, or is She compulsively expecting Nature to break it's inherent law of "give and take" and make Her an exception of "just take"?

It's the first speech I've heard from her, and it's so refreshing. The examples are so spot on. I always thought that men have the ability to dissociate, which allows us to dissociate from ourselves, too. The example I had is of a man who would go out in the middle of the night to defend their livestock against predators. It's got to the kind of human being who can utterly callous - towards himself. Complete disregard for the consequences, to sacrifice themselves for the survival of their women and children. Now I listen to Camille and she talks about hunters freezing to death. @lamentate075 жыл бұрын
@@SunnySummer777 Sounds like you are projecting. That's how women tend to think, not men. In reality, the sexes treat each other as disposable now if they are in a position of power to do so. Women have more power in the dating/mating market than men, thus they are more likely to act in an egotistical way that hurts their long term interests. They also take a long time to 'mature'. The problem is that by the time they are 'mature' enough for the kind of man they rejected when they were younger, we have moved on, often to younger women.

@@SunnySummer777 It probably didn't work with men who 'weren't your type' because you didn't screen them properly by personality, or you simply weren't ready to move on from looks and therefore experienced dissonance (from a lack of desire). That is very common. It's a tricky thing. Personally I tend to steer clear of women who tell me that they like me even though I'm not really their physical type. It's too much of a gamble. You are essentially betting on the odds that their previous appetites/desires/preferences won't return to ruin the relationship at a future date. In cultures that encourage sexual restraint that can work, but in the west it's a recipe for disaster that often costs men money. All the best though. It's always difficult regardless of age or sex.

They'll adapt. Maybe pure hell for feminists and SJWs but not for women. When invaders came through a village or town way way back, and their brothers, fathers, sons etc were put to the sword in battle - within a year the women were having kids from the invaders. It's female nature to rationalize and go with the strongest. Did anyone think that they formed a female resistance and refused to have anything to do with the men that had conquered them? No. They went on to pass on their DNA with the best (strongest) available candidates - the victors. How else could the human species have survived?

I like the way she speaks, it's not that simple to get the point , but rewarding if you listen closely. I learned that lesson as I listened to some of Slavoj Zizek talks. The point she makes is right. I can surly bare witness what it feels like to have the constant urge to go out and cause trubble to do at least something, because there is no masculine paragon around which teaches you how to deal with your drives. I think in general that philosophy should be taught in school, because to know were to look for something is almost as much useful as proper knowledge.

Men can be great, and also terrifying. Every woman has internalised this dual image of man and the ancestral memory and consequent emotional response to men as both our protectors and potential attackers; depending on their early experiences they will likely have a greater awareness of one or the other. If you can imagine what it is like for women to be dependent on men to such an extent, either to provide and protect, or to refrain from harming us, then you might begin to understand some of our ambivalence towards them, and also why some women fight so hard not to be dependent on them. I don't subscribe to man-bashing, but find that the backlash in the form of seeking to diminish women and even revel in their supposed deserved downfall and threat of abandonment by men only deepens the gulf and reeks of the old paradigm where women are seen as deserving of men's protection only if they obey and submit, or else. In essence, it is a threatening stance, which seeks to trigger and exploit a primordial fear in women tied by capitalizing on men's superior physical strength. Funnily enough in this video, while pointing out the greatness of men she also summarises in a nutshell women's dilemma when it comes to their simultaneous need and fear of men. I'm not saying women are completely innocent, I think it is crucial for us to understand our instinctual behaviour and responses, and where it leads to unfair projections on the opposite sex. The closest parallel to the resentment that is generated in women by their dependency on men is the resentment that men feel about their dependency on women for sex (and connection). Interestingly I now often see comments from men claiming how they don't need women, and they will replace them with sexbots or artificial wombs. The moment this unconscious resentment is allowed to fester and rule our actions, is when the underhand tactics used by each gender to attempt to curb the power of the other, i.e. emasculation and objectification as employed by women and men respectively, come into play. So we have this weird battle going on of 'who needs whom' less with various and sometimes ludicrous attempts to deny our obvious interdependence, that stem from a wounded place for both genders. It is the responsibility of each individual, male or female, to understand their instinctual drives and how these shape their responses along with their experiences of the opposite sex. Otherwise we are operating according to collective woundings and shadows, taking on for example the role of a victim by virtue of being a woman, while my circumstances may mean that I am extremely privileged, or conversely assuming superiority as 'creator of civilisations' by virtue of being a man, when in reality I spend my days playing videogames and arguing with strangers on the internet, and taking on all the entitlements and grievances, and also limitations, that such identifications entail. It is the identity politics game all over again.

Toxic masculinity refers to bad behaviors that are mostly found in men, not that all masculine behavior is toxic.

You said there is nothing wrong with saying men and women are different. It is a fact that men and women are different. Facts are right and because facts are right speaking facts is always right.

Chrissie Hynde would agree. She was gang raped and her take away lesson was to be grateful that those men taught her a lesson in not being so uppity, so outspoken. She blames herself but reports that thanks to these men she has learned her place and shuts up now. Rational fear and gratitude, indeed. Presumably Camille hasn't been raped because she already knows better than to not be sufficiently grateful or afraid of men. To think I ever held either one of these women in high regard.
