There is always the chance that regardless of how fit you are and how well you look after yourself that you might have an off day. But, you still managed to push through. Troopers! Let's hope tomorrow treats you better..

oh, sorry you weren't feeling well. On another note, did you take the scenic route out of Villafranca? And De, did you like your visor? Normally i see people with hats with brims because of the sun. Has the sun been ok on your neck, head, and ears? I normally wear a visor so that's why i'm asking. :)

Hi Sally Out of Villafranca we took the southern route - it was quite a pleasant walk through villages and quite scenic. I ended up taking a rigid visor as I seemed to overheat with a full hat. I found this worked for me. Yes the sun can can get quite hot so collars up for your neck help. I also have lots of hair so found that saved my scalp. Cheers De

@@JimandDe Thanks! I think i'll try my hat and my visor when it gets a lot warmer her in California. Then I can decide. I may overheat too although supposedly the hat has a vent. I don't have a lot of hair but I've always uses a visor in Maui and haven't gotten burnt. Looks like the southern route is for experience hikers so we may stick to the main route. Although maybe we'll be "experienced" by then! LOL

@@schamber1000 That sounds like a great idea, we tested all our gear on walks previous to starting our camino, its a good way to see what works for you and what doesn't

Hi Mick I have the shakes so I use a gimbal so the video was watchable. I made a clamp for my pole so it just slotted in and yes it did get in the way.. I also dropped it a lot Lol
