I understand the Tesco card tattoo. Spend £1 = 1 point earned, 100 points is worth £1 of vouchers, which means for £18 of points the guy has spent £1800, Probably all on meal deals. For the maths, lets assume that it was all meal deals. Current price Meal deal = 3.90, on clubcard 3.40. Meaning he bought 529 meal deals. MEANING - his clubcard saved him £264.50 and also earned him £18 worth of points to spend in the shop. Pretty sure lads in profit.

Mate I literally found out the other day that my great aunt- who's 88 now, we live in Watford which is now 100% London prices. My parents first family home cost them £15k, and they earned £16k a year between them on minimum wage (or slightly higher) at the time. That's the equivalent of a 2 bed terrace costing £45k today in terms of salary inflation, and now you're talking £150k for a 2 bed terrace that needs a lot of work in the same area. jaffa cakes are classified as cakes because they aren't premium products. Way back they got changed to being classified from cakes to biscuits and the company had to prove they were cakes to change them back (this was a big deal because biscuits were taxed) so they just made a jaffa cake bigger (and in the shape of a usual round cake) and it literally was cake. Plus when cakes go off, they go hard and when biscuits go off, they go soft. Jaffa cakes go hard when they go off, so more proof that they are indeed cakes

Love ya but they are cakes, it was even settled in court by McVities as taxes for cakes were cheaper/different, they made a giant one and asked the judge what it was and he said “clearly a cake” they asked at what point of shrinking does a cake magically turn into a biscuit? The Diet Coke out of a dispenser at a restaurant, whatever the glass, is ABSOLUTELY different than out of a can or bottle (bottle is best.) Because of the ingredients Diet Coke when your get it out of a dispenser, it doesn’t mix well and comes out super frothy and badly flavoured (to me it tastes like dirt and grass). But out of a can or bottle, it’s been properly mixed at the factory, so it’s balanced and is a million times better. I did used to drink Diet Coke “just for the taste of it”, but after a summer working at a snack bar, I can’t ever get over that memory of how bad it was. (And hell to dispense into a cup to serve.) My diabetic brother almost EXCLUSIVELY drinks Diet Coke, but I have to bring my own drinks when I stay with him.

the Diet Coke you get at a bar or out for food is very different in a glass because it is a syrup that gets mixed when it is poured at the pump , so cans and glass bottles taste different to plastic , so that must be mixed differently too I expect
