Overall this camshaft is great for the money, however I would recommend getting a converter if you choose this cam. Everyone says they’re not drivable without one but that’s not true, truck still drives great with the stock one. That being said, especially with this truck being a 4.8 and this aggressive of a cam, it’s pretty lazy down low and a converter would definitely help. This cam definitely likes to breath up high, we spin it to 7k. Either way with the stock 3.42 gears, it’s still tons of fun from like a 30 roll.
