I have the same setup but I’m trying to get it run with the base tune

It should be able to run with the base tune on the truck, I drove mine about 2 miles maybe 3 max home after I picked it up. I didnt go over 2.5k rpms and I trailered it to get tuned.

I’ve daily drove it on a stock trans no converter for a while and it was smooth and quick, I’ve also now had the tranny built with a 28-3200 stall and it’s much smoother and I still daily drive it in traffic and it does great!
