The 2v mustang will always have a special place in my heart. They’re not fast by today’s standards, but they’re such a great analog old school driving experience. The way you have to muscle the shifts combined with the live rear axle, mechanical throttle and the noise makes them such a joy to drive.

I’ve been wanting one for a long time but I’m also leaning towards a supercharger. Way less extra parts needed just straight bolt on. Unfortunately they are more expensive and On3 is very affordable in the turbo world.

Slp sounds good on a cammed 2v with longtubes, but I think they’re a little too raspy on a Catless x with stock cam and manifolds.

Weight reduction on rotating mass. Ford racing aluminum d/s, u/d pulleys and lighter flywheel should complement the 3:73’s

Once you put bolt ons on C5 youll never look back lol , just mild bolt ons and tune and youll have 350 rwhp and a mild cam youll be 380- 400 rwhp easy. Throw on some cheap 243 heads and your at 430-450 rwhp you will laugh at your 2v mustang , i went from a mach 1 fbo with 4.10 gears which i though was fast to a FBO and cammed LS1and wow night and day difference.

I can’t remember the mustang have longtube headers? Those were good runs, I think the mustang won, once the S3 is tuned its gonna give the mustang a run for its money.

Yeah we have BBK Longtubes on the stang, I’d say the mustang won for sure. But agreed once the s3 is tuned it’ll be a monster. Stage 2 alone sill be around 397hp to the wheels 😬

When you are driving a car whether you are in traffic at low speed or racing, your hands go at 10 and 2 or 9 and 3. Not one hand on top of the wheel, you have almost no control like that. You also don't need your hand on the shifter of an automatic car lol. Hands on the wheel in a way that gives you control instead of trying to look like a badass.

You won't ever see people driving like that at racing events, or with guys who are heavily into the car hobby. Tiptronic = automatic. Put it in D and let the car shift, its not gonna be faster with you pushing the + button.

Nice runs! I wouldn't say it was boost lag at all. Just seemed like the other runs the stang was in it's power band better 🤷. But both cars are solid and with a tune the s3 will come around for sure 🤘. I was SUPER impressed with the mustang running pulling like that. Btw what suspension mods do you have? She looks great! I'm lowered and have upper and lower control arms out back but, Im starting to hate them. I got sphericals and while they handle great, they are ROUGH lol

Yeah I think Austin was just a little salty the Ole 2V put out! I agree once the S3 has a tune and exhaust it’ll be real quick. Thanks I was too, car was running strong. I’m currently on Eibach lowering springs. 1.7 drop in front and 1.5 in rear. I wanna go lower though but am enjoying the somewhat comfortable ride as of now. Suspension work is gonna be done this summer for sure since everything else is stock

@@RatchetWrenches nice bro! Well I It looks like it rides pretty well. I'm on sr springs and shocks(fox length) and they are already blown out lol. It rode so nice before they gave up but, cheap stuff🤷. Eibach is the way for sure. Man, once you get upper and lower control arms you will notice a huge difference in how much power your loosing through the stock bushings. Id recommend saving or waiting for all maximum motorsports stuff though because I didn't and I should have. There stuff is 2nd to none

Why does it seem like automatic mustang new edges 99-04 are faster than manual mustangs of the same year 99-04 ?

It all depends on the driver. Most automatics will beat any manual in the same year and car. It’s hard to outshift a manual

@@RatchetWrenches i drive an 02 mustang gt i have k n n cold air intake 3, underdrive pulleys, 78 mm bbk throttle body(same as yours), and flowmaster 40 series original. And I always beat manual mustangs, and other cars too soo isdk maybe the pulleys help a lot

Oh yeah for sure, it’s way faster then the Gti but the mustang with its new mods it can’t beat. Don’t worry I will be going eventually to stage 2 pushing around 397hp to the wheels, along with a dsg tune. Just wanna enjoy it sorta stock for now ya know?

You really did wake that car cause those mustangs are slow af stock. And by the way, those s3 with básic things are monsters that one is in super Stock sleep mode.. once it gets apr or Revo tune And básic bolt ons it Will leave by one Walmart distance.

Yeah the stang is definitely fast. But yeah I agree once we continue to mod the s3 it’ll dominate the mustang at this current setup. We do plan to boost the stang so it’ll keep up with the s3 even when we stage 2 it. It’ll be a close race for sure

The vette is faster the driver was short shifting and not getting into the powerband but the mustang kept up pretty well! It's getting forced induction soon so it'll be faster then the vette then
