DD1 and DD2 are high end wheel bases, the original QR does have a very small amount of play if you apply enough force or do not do it up correctly.

Those type of quick releases are probably just Ali Express quick releases. I used one in my real car made by D1 Spec. Same system, but zero play in that one. Awesome video as always, super detailed and nice to listen to. I just got my ART cockpit today after watching your video's, and I'm planning to buy Fanatec gear soon. I noticed you used V3 pedals, and I'm looking at the inverted set, which looks very nice to me. Would you by any chance be able to review those, and give your opinion on wether or not the extra money if worth it for the inverted set. If not, no worries! Have a good one.

08:43 we as society need to get away from this type of comment, where we associate Chinese built products as inferior or of poor quality. I hear it all to often, I was guilty of it for a long time as well, and it's certainly not just here I've heard it. Many, if not majority, of the high-end products we use are also Chinese made, so clearly it's not because it's Chinese made that it's of lower quality, however, it's the reason you mention many times in your video and that is it's cost. I'm not affiliated with the company so can't say for absolute certain but it's not hard to imagine part of how they're able to sell things so cheaply is allowing parts to pass that high-end brands would have to throw away that are still perfectly useable but are definitely not perfect. Parts as mentioned where the threads aren't ALL perfect would be a costly item to throw away, which is something we as consumers pay for when we buy high-end products, as I'm sure you can imagine happens on every manufacturer floor, and someone has to pay for it. Anyways, back to my original point, I can appreciate as a reviewer pointing things like this out, it's inaccurate to attribute a cheaply made component of a product to it's Chinese manufacturing, it's a cheaply made component due exclusively to the fact it's cheaply made to allow savings to be passed to I'm consumer and sell at a very cheap price. hopefully this message is seen not just by you Karl, but all of us who say this in error. p.s. this shouldn't matter but I'm neither associated with the company nor Chinese.

The csl dd shaft is weak and flawed with design. It can easily bend and pulled out. Plastic quick release compared to NGR type quick release of cammus at similar price, csl dd motor gets hot to the touch you can fry an egg on top.

Ten amps, 360 watts, 36 volts. I don't understand electricity but 10 amps is a lot! The maximum limit electricity comes out of your socket is 13 amps. You do not ever want to get close to 13 amps or else you'll overload! I'm not sure if the Cammus is energy efficient. How much electricity does the Moza R16 and the Fanatec DD1 use compared to that Cammus?

@@KarlGosling that doesn’t track with other reviews I’ve seen. I know some were not impressed with the R16 and pedals at first but it wasn’t build quality and was fixed in firmware updates. The steering wheel is excellent quality (which it should be for the price) so I don’t understand that. I don’t think you can see past the Fanatec eco system which is a shame. @@karleverett3507 WIll from Boosted Media also had a crap time with the R16 quality-wise. Rust on the motor shaft, unfinished shifters, bad wiring routing, they kept lying to him telling him first it was a production review ready product, then back-pedalling once the quality issues were highlighted and said it was a prototype. Dodgy AF. The R9 looks to be a much better product at a much better price. Glad you are happy with yours. I'm currently about to pull the trigger on a CSL DD, will have to keep the R9 in mind but that start from Moza put me off them TBH. I don’t see many reviewers going back to say how bad the CSL quick release is and addressing all the problems people are having. fixed on asthetics review imo, having owned a c5 for a few months now, its a solid wheel that far far out performs twice the price items by EVERY other company. Personally Id argue this is a better item BECAUSE your not paying the 'bullshit' boujie industry pricing. It was really interesting to see you not actually using the item at all in your review, and then draw comparisons to chinese companys,, funnily the exact same companys other manufacturers get to make components OR to assemble said components then Profit off you. Its a brave move by this tiny company to stand in the face of these giants (and im not talking fanatec or moza etc Logitech/ thrustmaster) offering a BETTER product at a VASTLY more competitive price. given Fanatec has proven just how shocking they are in the last 2 yrs, why are you still band waggonning with people who cant run a business DESPITE extortinate pricing structures. It just shows where @product placement@ gains you favour.. Great Job Karl!!

You do see me use everything in the video, you obviously didn't watch it all and instead went straight for your keyboard defending your purchase... not uncommon. But this exact wheel base literally went up in smoke two months later! The cooling fan was missing from the PCB it overheated and caught fire!... It's a prime example of poorly made eastern products with very poor QC. The C5 (I have one here right new for review) has come a long way and I'm hoping is a much better all round product.
