it's a very passive way to play. Either letting the enemy engage first, engaging when your team does, or engaging on invis. I know most people love to play the "punch to win" play style or "heat rises/scout or pulse" but this fits for how everyone plays right now. Fun, wacky builds are hard to enjoy because people are sweating in 6v6, which is crazy, and the meta is pulses right now.

I think the reason I enjoy slice so much is because it's very deliberate counter play. If I watch a teammate die and I know that the enemy now has almost any kind of damage perk, I can make the gamble of using my class item to cut the edge off of their damage perk and possibly even the odds enough to win the fight as long as I can hit the first shot.

Farmed the encounter solo 150 times last March. Got a small bore/ricochet rounds/keep away/headseeker/handling masterwork. Enhanced and now has a ballistics mod. My favorite weapon in the game, better than Elsies’s.Got a twilight memento for it recently and honestly so pumped.

8:22 engages with a target. Used dodge just before engagement & used smoke and nade during. 8:42 a whole 20 seconds and no kills later, dies to shotgun " *of course its a special weapon* " The hate for special weapons is so unreal that we can get into a 20 second gun fight, use all available utility and not secure a single kill, & still blame the opponent's shotty. Sweet baby Jesus, help us lol

It's probably my favorite sights on a high impact pulse. I prefer the feel of it to Elsie's or Messenger. All 3 or great. But Relentless just feels really good to use even in mid close range.

Ive got an aishas with a good slice roll (100 range, 70 stab before omolon) been using frostees and acrobat dodge with erianas on solar with benevolence. Recommend it! Hope to catch you in my lobbies some time ❤

The roll I kept has Arrowhead and extended barrel. Tried every combination of both with or without a counterbalance. I just wouldn't use it over my messenger for any situation

Relentless is amazing. It’s got the best model and sight of any 340, and an excellent recoil pattern. But the true god roll (which I’m surprised cammy isnt using) is slideways headseeker. You have cracked stab and handling, and can constantly keep the magazine low to easily 5c1b all resils Edit: also because of the damage, you don’t even need headseeker. So you can run slideways/zen and never miss a bullet

It’s 15% less damage. And try this with frostees. With marksman’s dodge while sprinting it’s basically a dodge every 9 seconds. It’s perma slice up time.

Can u try part of the build with a Prismatic? Why Prosmatic? Because u can get radiant when dodging, while activating slice and that’s 5% or something like that damage buff and them getting a -10% damage and also prismatic has fragment that makes void grenades weakened your opponent. That’s an extra debuff that makes your opponent weak and them raging more damage from you.

For anyone playing on PC, he is not kidding when saying "there is a lot of hunters on console", I actually counted the number of hunters in all my 6v6 matches last season and the average was 7.1 across 389 matches

Wanted to add this with Icefall Mantle is busted cause of slice. Add some extra DR from stasis and it's literally my .67 ttk vs. my opponent doing like ~30% less damage to me. So toxic and annoying I'm sorry I thought of it right when the rework and fix was announced.

this has to be the most boring playstyle ever. crouching and waiting for someone to enter your crosshair and only engagnig with invis. To be fair, he has been playing like this well before the pulse meta came back... just that Bungie LOVES to make dumb decisions for pvp and rest assured, Cam is NOT liking them The concept of this vid is mostly about using slice to counter the current pulse meta (yes, with another pulse...), this case it's to prevent getting 2 burst killed while being able to 2 burst kill in return (ttk advantage with the same archetype) Sorry for that whole paragraph, just explaining the thought process behind this whole mess. I understand your point though and we all wish that cqc primaries get to shine again and not being fucked by special jousting and ability spam

I don’t mind crossing the hate line tbh. Not only do I agree with your take, but Cammy often complains and rants about every other hunter subclass and the other two character types and their OP abilities, while making 100s of videos crutching on radar manipulation with smokes and going invisible. This invis hunter gameplay and play style is the opposite of what PVP needs. Camping and crouching around corners is annoying to play against but also just lame. Run at me with a primary and let’s duel, period. I prefer special jousting over dealing with invis hunters. It’s as big of a crutch as any other ability or play style Cammy has complained about over the last 1-3 months, or even years prior.

It needed to be nerfed, it was literally a win button. Spectral blades, hammer and daybreak were tier 1 cooldown supers until lightfall when they were buffed to tier 2, so it is the only tier 1 super.
