A short vid showing a day prepping the "logging camp". No big builds or structures, just a simple, easy access open space for a campfire, some chopping and bush time.
A quick run over with the brushcutter, a 30 second cordwood rack, felling a few dead trees for firewood, and some lazy chopping of some rapidly- hardening cordwood sees the day pass quickly. Funny how days off do that.
I put this vid together with the thought of trying to run some music over it, but in the end couldnt cover up the serenity of the bush sounds. I appreciate you guys who check out the vids and comment, feel free to let me know your thoughts.
As always, cheers for watching mates!

Really enjoyed this one as well Kurt. Thats a nice spot you prepared there. I could dig in there for a good while. As far as music overlay goes, I think it would add another layer to your productions but not over the while piece ir at the expense of the natural sounds of the bush or the chopping. Look forward to your next 'drop', if you are still making these enjoyable clips.🙂

Thanks mate, I loved my little "loggers camp", was a great spot. Unfortunately not on the farm any more so hopefully the new owners enjoy it! I never really could bring myself to cover up the bush sounds😁

Another great video Kurt. I love the idea of a logging camp, or any small spot you can go to get away, chop some wood, make a fire and enjoy the outdoors. As for the idea of adding music, I'd say give it a shot but keep the volume low enough that we still hear the sweet sound when axe meets wood.

@@kurts64 I figure I am up to about a rick now, but unfortunately I don't have it stacked all in one place like I was able to do last year, so I am just taking some photos and eye-balling it. Did complete the one tree challenge and the big log challenge twice so far. Definitely my favorite. As for the bugs....first it was the ticks....now we've added the mosquitoes. It never ends

Hi Kurt, fantastic video mate! A bit of stress busting splitting those hard rounds looks like! The flowers look more like spring than late autumn, you seem to having great weather. The sounds of the bush were perfect for this one, no music needed I think. Cheers mate.

There's nothing like unleashing on a woodpile! Autumn /winter period here is much more stable than the crazy heat and rain over summer, hopefully get to do a few overnighters at this spot soon. Thanks for your thoughts on the music thing, I was sitting on the fence with this one. Cheers!

Another well edited video. That pile of logs looked really fun to split. I’m assuming a forest fire rolled through there. Nice camp btw. And cool trick for fire lighting.

Thanks mate, yeah this was the same area as the last vid, it copped the 2019/2020 fires. Its coming back well, but still lots of dead standers to thin out. Hoping to spend a bit of time and get a few overnighters in this spot in the next few months.

@@KevinsDisobedience That's the trade off with bush work pretty much. It's all either weather dependant, seasonal, or in the case of working with National Parks, volunteer groups and the like, based off grant funding. Gets frustrating at times, but other times it's a godsend.

G'day mate, thanks for watching, yeah the big fires rolled through here in November 2019. They went on for months. The house was ok but all the bush and pasture areas copped it pretty bad. Made for some tricky felling jobs!
