Those campanula--I planted oodles this fall so dying to see them look like that--first time around for me and SO excited!
@King_of_carrot_flowers6 ай бұрын
Most campanula species are perennial, but Campanula medium (Canterbury bells) is very much a biennial. You'll need fresh plants. If you want to try perennial Campanula as cut flowers, I'd suggest perscifolia and glomerata

I am in Maryland 7b. I have biennial campanula so I want to let it go to seed for the following years. Do you plant in full sun or am sun / pm shade in the garden or in pots?
@tanyakilbane76366 ай бұрын
My wild campanula is a nuisance. It comes back, year after year. It is actually what brought me to your channel, if I can’t beat them, join them. My patch may well be over 100 years old, since they call it Queen Palmer revenge, around here, after the founders of this town.

The canterbury bells campanula is biennial but it sets seed easily & prolifically. After starting some 2 years in a row I just save a couple seed pods each year now & scatter the seeds back when I pull out the plants that flowered.

Years ago, I grew Canterbury Bells that looked exactly like your campanula. Unfortunately, they were a biannual. My campanula look nothing like yours. Those pink peonies look so beautiful. I deadheaded many of mine today...and weeded. Nicole, you look thinner. I hope you're doing well instead of doing too much.

Oh my! My all time favorite flowers are larkspur & delphinium. Your field of larkspur is stunning! Delphinium is a tricky seed to start, but i was successful last year and the blooms this year are a gorgeous deep blue. I also planted tons of larkspur seeds as well as last years self sending and my larkspur are full of buds, soon to bloom. So exciting! Love your channel & your beautiful flower farm. Wishing you an amazing season & harvest.

I am in the UK and had one plant come back from last year but it’s not as tall as the fresh ones I sowed. Maybe you could keep half and do half as fresh sowings as a comparison. I will definitely do fresh seed after seeing the performance of last years plant. Great to see the flower farm and bouquet making again!

Have totally been missing the flower farm updates and bouquet making! This was refreshing to see. Is your Larkspur deep blue or purple? All I have are white, lavender and pink, maybe some dk purple. What I really want is the blue shades. I can't seem to grow the blue Delphinium, that's supposed to be a hardy perennial. And baby chicks!

Nicole, Stunning flowers. All your love and hard work paid off. Hope you have an amazing season! How do deal with the earwig problem? I'm on Long Island and find them in all of my flowers too. Made my folks a beautiful bouquet, but they really freaked out when the earwigs began crawling out. Omg! 😬
