My partner and I booked with spaceship rentals and we are beginning our trip in 1.5 weeks! I am a bit taller than you I think so let's see how that goes..., but we are very excited! We got the "S2 Spacious", I'm curious if you got that one as well, might end up being tight, but we are on a budget so bigger was not possible. Thanks for the video!

Hey wow! I can feel the excitement! I wish we could go again hahhaa. Hope you can fit in well in the car in the Spacious one! We got the Beta 2S, not sure if its the same one...? And im glad you like the video! haha

Thanks for your overview! How was your experience with Spaceship Rentals? Would you recommend them or did you meet any other kiwis that were renting from other brands? I'm a solo traveller looking to rent a camper van (like the one you were in) for roughly 28 days in February. Any thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Overall it was alright! It was a lil tight for 2 tbh and bringing our hardcase luggage's wasn't the best idea. But if you are a solo, i think it would be decent tbh! For other campers, it depends because for us, we only had 23 days and we were covering both north and south island. So timing was tight and needed a "faster" vehicle. Also I was a lot more comfortable with a car than a van or RV. But if you are chill, I think a van would suffice as well. Our time there, there were strong winds too, so a couple of RVs across NZ tumble over so do take note of that as well. So I would say either a campercar if you don't mind squeezing your stuff and you want to travel more places, or a van if you are chilling and rather want more space.
