Hi, do you have to charge the battery that powers the refrigerator at campsites?

Hi Dave Chong, no you don’t need to charge the battery yourself as it charges as you drive. With this being said, it will run out of battery if you stay in the same campsite for a few days and don’t drive anywhere.

Characters of the World: Travel Vlog, Sounds good, but will that drain the car battery, causing it to be unable to start up? And in case of using a portable heater at night, do we have to run a power extension through the window, or is there a better way?

@@davechong8024 No this won't happen as it uses a dual battery system, meaning the car runs off one battery and the usb sockets and fridge etc run off a seperate battery. If you wanted to run a heater you would need to run a mains cable through a window to a campsite power socket. We never did this as we often didnt't pay extra for a campsite with power as it wasn't needed. Although in some locations it did get very very cold at night (in Lake Tekapo we slept with multiple layers on as well as a hat and gloves!

Thanks for the great review! My wife and I are renting one of these for our trip to NZ in November. Good to know there isn't a standard power plug, just bought myself an adapter. How is the side tarp they say comes with the vehicle? Does it keep you dry if it's raining and you need to step outside?
