funny, you seen it that way.. Mike Stenny // right after I read your reply I heard her say “we” & then he said “I” & “myself”; so #perspective as she just seems very invested in it as well & contributed a lot to it as well even though he did most of the build out work. He may be the shyer/quieter of the 2 & she is also a more proud/outgoing personality & that’s what may becoming through? 🤷🏽♂️ They also would together as realtors instead of 2 different jobs, & they clearly work well together living together is their van. 🚐👍🏽👍🏽

depends on the state..they are all different on how they view this..some states you will have a better chance trying to change the weather than change registration type..others are simple. Washington state simply requires a stove in your van to change to rv. just a simple Coleman cook stove on a shelf inside will do it.. no inspection just sign a waiver.. others will not even entertain you on the notion..

My wife and I met Martha and Gil during the winter after Gil and I had exchanged a few text messages and phone calls. At that time their progress was nascent in comparison to their masterpiece, but they wanted to complete a few basic essentials before their trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. We had coffee and iced tea and chatted like old friends. They are wonderful people and so talented! Our van by comparison lacks Gil's craftsmanship and careful attention to detail. One more important thing is that Martha and Gilbert study up, talk with people and are willing to be patient enough to learn and do it right. That's why their van is so cool! Now that I am retired, I am going to take notes from them and get our Promaster into shape, more as a travel and Ham Radio communications van than a camper. Martha and Gil thank you for the inspiration and great example of what anyone can do if they are patient learners and doers!

Nice job you two! Overall, your van conversion seems very spacious, being uncluttered & by using all light surfaces, including the backsplash. The "garage" is well ordered too, with space to spare! I like that you decided to use an electric pan instead of the added expense of a van stove & oven. I've bought a single, plus a double burner that plug in, for extra burners, & in a van, could use a convection oven for baking, but for now, appreciate a real oven in my sticks 'n bricks. The idea of a van to live in is so appealing to me - especially for weekend getaways, even if I can't give up on living in my house, so I can garden.
