Weeping willows are beautiful trees. I had the water babies book when I was a wee girl. Looks a beautiful place that you stayed in 👌😎

Hi Liz, Yes, yes, yes, we both also had the water babies book as children and also loved Wind in the Willows, subconsciously, this could have had an influence on my love for them!! 👍❤️🌳

I've really enjoyed following along on this trip. Apart from a weekend in Paris, I've only driven through a small part of France on the way to Switzerland, so nice to see another side. Once went over on the Hull - Rotterdam ferry with my brother and bought a 1973 Beetle for GBP105 and brought it back on our duty free allowance. It just needed a washer bottle for the MOT. Was great fun to drive, even though it was LHD. I follow a couple of people heading over in their vans soon, so will send them over to your channel to get the inside info on some great spots to visit. 🙂🚐🗺👍

Wow Linz, a woman after my own heart....I love the old Beetle, although for me; the price's had risen significantly by the time I was able to buy one lol. Sounds like that you have had a few adventures yourself, however if you get the chance, I highly recommend a visit to the central and south regions of France, they're simply beautiful. All the best and thanks for watching another one!! Take care over there! Tony.

Very inspiring video. We have been in "Masive Central" once, and are going back one day. But the problem is. There are a lot to see in europe for us camper freaks :-) Thanks for the video.

We couldn't agree more with you Lars, there is so much of the world and Europe to see!! That why us 'freaks' like to explore by camper lol. All the best to you and take care.

Thanks for another enjoyable video, good memories of our recent visit to Limousin area in June on our touring motorcycle, we visited lac pardoux and oradour sur glane, don’t have camper yet but I am working on that, looking forward to some more videos.
@adventurevanfreddie5 жыл бұрын
Hi Phil, thanks for watching. Now that can't be too bad, touring our favourite region on a motorcycle! Oradour is an amazing place, one that everyone should visit and the lake is beautiful. Good to hear you're working on the camper, I'm sure that motorcycle touring is stunning, however having a mobile bed also has a place. All the very best, I look forward to hearing that you have 4 heavy wheels on the road soon. Take care, Tony.

Thanks for the reply Tony, we are off to the NEC today for the motorhome show, hopefully to get some idea of what we want, I’m leaning towards building my own, the cost of some of the motor homes and campers are frightening, regards Phil
@adventurevanfreddie5 жыл бұрын
@@philstoneman6427 Agreed Phil, a very expensive and a lot of investment. For me, a known relatively low mileage good condition van and a Selfbuild was my only option. I spent £10000 on the van and the build and although not a refined as an equivalent £45000 camper, practicably and capably it does the same thing. Additionally for us, there's a little more pride in driving around in something a little....... different. Have a great time at the show and safe travels. If I can help in anyway should you go for a Selfbuild, you know where I am. All the best, Tony.

You guys are currently entertaining us. Brilliant videos and lovely content. We are purchasing a van this Friday to convert so a lot of work ahead. Still got a ton to watch but thank you. Andrew and Barbara. X

Hi there Andrew and Barbara, we hope this finds you well and dandy. Wow, great to hear that your about to start a van build, exciting times. Be prepared for the 'bathtub effect' with regards to your build. Having build 2 for ourselves and a couple for freinds, you'll find that at the beginning everything is great, big changes, loads of progress. In the middle of the build, enthusiasm slows down a bit because all the small fiddly bits and wiring etc. But towards the end, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's a great feeling. You are going to have fun, that's for sure! Many thanks for watching our channel, it is very much appreciated, thank you. If there is absolutely anything that I can help you with when you start your build, please let me know; I'd be more than happy to help. Until the next time, stay safe, take care and enjoy your build. We'll see you on the road soon. All the very best, Tony and Claire.

@@adventurevanfreddie Aww thank you both so much for your lovely comments. I think Andrew is overloaded with watching van build videos at the moment . We are well aware of what potentially lays ahead but thank you for your offer of support. We may need your help at some point. He's also an amateur photographer and is really one of the reasons why we are doing this. We are not getting any younger so want to enjoy life whilst we can. Keep up with the videos and hopefully you will start to see more appearing on our channel soon. Take care both of you and stay safe. Andrew and Barbara. X

Hi Dave & Liz, yep the same for us. All the people from the boat had descended on the small town; so much so that all the restaurants were absolutely crammed and we had to eat back at the van!! A lovely area and one that we are looking forward to visiting again. Hope you are both well! All the best, Tony & Claire.

We loved the French tour. You show a great mix of site and surroundings and there's some great sites you have stayed at in lovely locations. We are definitely leaning towards sites you have visited for our own first foray into France in our campervan next year. What would you say is your top 3 sites near water? Cheers Gary and Ali
@adventurevanfreddie3 жыл бұрын
More of France coming after the Wales series. Yes, we've certainly stumbled across some great campsites whilst touring around France. It really depends on what type of site you like. For us, we prefer a site that is not too big and is walking distance to the restaurants and shops. Camping Normandie | Flower Camping les trois rois is a great place to use as a overnight stop or maybe for a couple of days, Camping Huttopia Beaulieu sur Dordogne is definitely worth spending a few days at (even a week) and Camping de Fréaudour - Aquadis Loisirs is great for a peaceful rest and ideal if you want to visit Oradour sur Glane and Limoges. Many thanks for watching and for leaving the comment, the next France series you will see a few more sites worth considering. Many thanks again and all the very best, Tony and Claire.

@@adventurevanfreddie Thanks for the reply. I think we are of a very similar mindset to you guys to be honest. We love a quieter site with bars/places to eat within walking distance. The sites you mention are definitely on our list. So much choice and thanks to good people like yourselves, made easier by great vlogs like yours. Really looking forward to your next venture over the channel. Have fun.

Thank you for sharing these nice places. Some of them we came by without knowing what we missed. Someting for "next time" after Covid. I just wonder, what soft do you use to track and indicate your route on the map (in black). Do you do it manually...? Kind regards !
@adventurevanfreddie3 жыл бұрын
Hi there Jos. Many thanks for watching another. Yep, unfortunately there is no software that I've been able to find that will allow you to draw and record a route, whilst recording. I have to record my PC screen whilst drawing on the map manually. There are programs that allow you to animate a generic route on a map (like pictramap) but isn't detailed enough for how we use it. Hope this helps and thanks again for your support. All the best, Tony.
