Campervan Problems | Reality of a campervan

Watched a couple of your videos. So great to see the reality of camper life. We are really new to it, bought the van 6weeks ago. So far parked in car parks near the sea, in National Trust car parks and had 1 night near Sherwood Forest in 3 inches of snow and awakened by Storm Burt. If we can do that we can do anything. Love your tips in previous vlogs regarding storage. Also liked that you mentioned the Expawers, they are brill. I can relate to life getting in the way, next weekend we plan to go out, park up, cook soup with some crusty bread and sit in our campervan and enjoy. Many thanks for taking the time to share your experiences.. Maybe one day we will too.

I know the feeling. I've not been working on videos for a couple of months and started again last week. Life just gets in the way. We lost my French FIL in 2021, since then we've been sorting out the house, which has gone on so long so you have my sympathies. Love the camera angles. Back in August, we were in SW France, where I filmed the local market. Had my DJI Action Cam up high on a selfie stick/tripod, so I could get a higher angle as I walked through the crowds of people. Watched it back to see a few bemused people giving me the beady eye. I must have been a right sight! LOL Bon courage.

Life often gets in the way of my adventures. I am still working full time on a job and have a bedfast family member in my home as well. But, when I can't get out on a good adventure, I live vicariously through the vast number of KZbinrs who are making great videos, like yours, and plan for my next open opportunity. Keep up the good work.

I really enjoyed this video! Thank you. It’s good to see the reality of daily life! I have been known to sit on the drive for half an hour in the camper 😂. It’s relaxing! I too have used ours for charity shop runs and recycling centre trips!

I loved the ecclectic nature of your vlog this week. The area you wnt to looked very nice. I deffo loved your creative angles but I bet you were sick of walking back for the camera lol. It was very inciteful what yu said. My van is called Viv. I spent a fortune getting her to where I wanted her to be both inside and outside . I got her because I suffer from depression and anxiety and thought having a van and getting out in her would cheer me up. Reality turned out to be very different. Ive tried going out in her, staying out even for just one night and I hate my own company. I've found on the rare occasions Ive joined other people in their vans, Ive been good with that but on my own.....not so good. So Viv's journeys have been for the most part shopping only or hospital appointments . I so wish I had the confidence the youtubers I follow have and do huge trips abroad and scotland etc but I know it will never happen. Frustrating things vans are. I know I'll never sell Viv,but sometimes that idea comes in my head. all the best- Kenny

Thankyou for taking the time to comment.anxiety can be crippling and unpredictable . Have you tried going to the same local Campsite and trying to build confidence slowly in just 1 site . You may start to relax after a few times and you could build on that . Or take a friend Or even a pet - Weirdly I’m less anxious wild camping with my kids than in my own . When really I should be more anxious . I do hope you can challenge He yourself to take small steps to your own version of freedom X

We are not traveling much because of my husbands health. I had to charge the batter to get it started last month so I'm now using the van for shopping and eating out with friends when the restaurant is a distance from home. We bought a Winnebago Roam because it was handicap accessible but as you know, life throws you curves. I enjoy your short and sweet videos because I don't have the time for longer ones.

I always keep a couple of small bottles of water in my van when I’m not using the big container, and a few packets of hot chocolate and 3in1 coffee.. for just in case 😊

Thumbs up for your intro shots. Super! Only I think you where done at the last arrival shot before the drone shot. And yes it's a struggle sometimes to get out and do it! But I have never regretted it after. So keep pushing yourself. I like planning and going for a few days. Produce a video a day and be home the rest of the month.

Just watched this thanks to KZbin logarithms. Subscribed. I've put that park up in my to do list. I too use p4n. I also submit potential park ups that I find while out n about. Most get rejected but then some get accepted. Yes keep your natural style. Avoid the click bait introductions as folk soon see through them.

Really enjoyed your video and you are right life does sometimes get in the way of going away, like you our van does sit on the drive a lot this time of year although I do sometimes just take a magazine and sit in it. I liked your idea of looking at park for the night and just go and see local park ups and I could take my magazine and sit somewhere different for a change 👋👋👋

Hey ..ive got the same van as you 2006 !! ..in the winter ..I watch utube in the van on my front drive ..being in London and having to pay Ulez which is a complete scam..I stay on my drive and people watch ..keeps the batteries charged 😂😂

Is Rowarth Inn ,near Edale? When I was in the Guides their was an in named the Childrens Inn there it was about 70 years ago ( yes I am That old) Anyway it was so exciting to be 1st time away from my family.We did lotsxof exploring the countryside. It was a great adventure.

I use the Ordinance Survey map App OS Maps to make sure I’m walking on designated right of way. I had a couple of incidents in Wales with aggressive farmers when using the old paper maps years ago and I’m sure I was in the right but they tried to intimidate myself and my partner at the time. Quite scary and this was despite being polite.

Sometimes I choose not to film so I can just enjoy the experience . However , i also love the editing and watching the video years later … and I can’t have that if I don’t film !! Good for getting my steps in though

I been doing KZbin for many years Had a big channel 2 years ago, but I got trolled and bullied. It left me very depressed and suicidal anyway another story for another day. I still find it very hard Shy person sometimes too. Video in public places love the video Some of my family live in that area I’ve not been there for a few years. Take care😊

Stick to your quality and don't go down the quantity click bait route like some. I take a flask of hot water with tea etc plus pot noodle and cuppa soups. Ready for anything. I even enjoy the diy shopping runs in ours. They have a totally different feel to getting from a to b as quickly as possible in a car. I never feel stressed in the van because she gets there in her time not mine. I admit to enjoying tidying the cupboards and drawers though.
