Thank you this is very helpful. I always find it hard to pick a site at a location. I’ve never been. So to see what the sites look like before. Booking is really priceless. Happy travels.

Glad it was helpful! That's why we started sharing these videos. Often, we weren't really sure what the sites looked like. Many places just showed a little icon for the campsite. Happy travels to you, too! 😊👋

One of my favorite state parks in South Carolina Hunting Island state park. It is on the beach. Very pretty.

How much for site? Looks like as w national parks there are a lot of open sites. All sites should be 1st come 1st stay. What’s your opinion?

Campsite prices vary from $24 to $48, depending on the site, weekday, or holiday. You can visit the reservation website and click Calendar View to see the prices. reserve.southcarolinaparks.com/santee/camping/ There were a lot of empty sites, but that was during the week. We saw most sites tagged on Friday for the weekend campers. Our opinion on first-come campgrounds, we prefer reservations because after traveling for a few hours, we want to make sure that we have a place to camp. If we are heading to a first-come site, we try to get there as early as possible. It's stressful! 😬 Once we got the very last spot and it was early in the day! Happy camping to you! 😊👋
