Hey Kelly, That new cast iron pan is really a griddle. Try making your pancakes, grill cheese on it a few times till it seasons. It may hold too much heat for crepes. I've been watching along time, but dont remember you making flour tortillas. That's what my Mom did everyday with her griddle. I have hers now in our camper, but in Iowa too cold to camp. Also, I season my cast iron 2X's a year. I rub crisco shortening all over it, wipe as much off as I can. The put in a low oven. You could just set it next to fire, let it heat up. Be sure they are dry when you out them away. Just a thought. I thought your crepes looked perfect with other pan. I think crepes are a skill to make. Sooo if it's not broken, don't switch pans!🍌🍓

Thanks for the info on the name of Corpus👍👍👍..7 years ago my daughter took a 3 month nurse traveling job in Corpus Cristi and I came along to watch my grandson. To this day I miss that place and Padre Island. I live in Ohio now but have lived in AZ and I still say Corpus is the only other place I would like to live. It thrilled me in your closing saying how you have fallen in love with the area. ENJOY!

Port Aransas- “Port A” is a cool island town, Goose Island State Park in Rockport is also a great park for tent camping and kayaking. If y’all head to the hill country Garner State Park is gorgeous... everything is great in off season, watch out because come March everything is packed! Enjoy your time in my neck of the woods!

OMG! Even before you mentioned your location I felt a connection. My Air Force buddies and I use to bass fish there in a Bass Tracker. The best way to fish the lakes in South Texas is using an artificial worm lure, let it sink to the bottom and using your wrist gently jerk while reeling in your line. We caught many large mouth bass including one that weighed in at 8 pounds. Another great camping and fishing venue is Choke Canyon and you may see herds of beautiful deer. Actually, there are many lakes within a short drive from San Antonio. If you haven't visited the Riverwalk in San Antonio I highly recommend going...restaurants galore, shopping and touring the Alamo are super enjoyable. Awesome video! Kelly, that breakfast looked awfully good to me.

One of my buddies parked on the beach in Corpus Christi not realizing that the tide was out. We were enjoying catching channel catfish when Todd turned to look for his Jeep Wrangler. The water was nearly up to the bottom of his door. It was hilarious seeing him trying to run in the rising incoming tide. He was lucky that he checked his Jeep in time.

Glad yall made it to my Hometown!!! yes the water is beautiful and much warmer in the summer months. It is always windy in Corpus except when you need it the most - in hot July and August. Its also very humid most of the time. You can camp for free anywhere on the beach and if yall went a little further you would have run into big and little shell (need a 4 wheel drive for that but the water is deeper, youll find lots of shells ( at least it used to be that way) and fishing is good since it gets very deep around the first sandbar. Of course always be aware there are sharks in the water - Ive only run across a few in my lifetime but they are there. I hope yall checked out the fantastic mexican food plus Water Street Oyster Bar downtown. And if you've never been to San Antonio Tx and the hill country, more good food there and camping in the hill country. BTW - great videos!
