Camp Near RMNP at Meeker Park Overflow Campground

Another great Campground Recon video ! Some important info for this CG : Meeker Park Overflow CG is closed from September 6, 2024 through May 19, 2025. While it is a 'rustic' CG, it fills quickly like all other Campgrounds adjacent to RMNP and Estes Park in summer. Especially from Thurs even to Sunday. Neighboring CGs are Olive Ridge and the much smaller Longs Peak which are always full. There is very little Dipsersed Camping in this region. The USFS has closed most of the Dispersed sites here due to extreme overuse. The last few years increase in RV, Trailer annd Van campers make it more difficult to find a site in this region during summer. As always Carry In - Carry Out and be Bear Aware in your site set up.
