Van life is a very interesting concept for us, not just because we would be brave enough to do it but because everything seems so difficult but fun and relaxing at the same time. Glad you are finding cool spots for camping, good to know there are many van life friendly camps nowadays!

Yes we are having a lot of fun, and also a lot of learnings... it's so different and we haven't gone camping together before this.

What a nice park and beach! For a moment I thought you were BC as there is a Mara Lake near where I live. Our camping tradition food which we make every time is escargot! Fancy but super easy LOL

Really enjoying your videos, I'm here because I like and follow Mr. Sujano, but as a result I thought I'd be nosey but think I'm here to stay. Wholesome content, reminds me of how it used to be here in the UK... sending love to you both

Very hearty camping meal! That's a fun idea... now that we know what we're doing a bit more it might be a good challenge to see how quickly we can do it!

So sweet that you guys went camping alone for the first time and not get ‘influenced’ by others 😂 awesome tour of the site! Nice that you prepared some of the food beforehand to make it easier. And do I spot a famous 100k sub KZbinr with you 😅 you must be so proud of your hubby 👏

Have to have clean showers, hooks and flip-flops! Parking without cell phones; good job! Tasty looking meal for camping. April does not like marshmallows at all! She enjoys roasting them for others though. Was it the best butter tart Alan has ever had? Wayne has baby feet, lol! We sure love a campfire, but not any time soon until it freaking cools off here! 😱
@TheAverageTourist2 жыл бұрын
Clean showers are a must! We are getting much better at our hand signaling and quiet shouting 🤣 It gets pretty cool at night here so a campfire is essential. No marshmallows!?!?! But they are pillowy sugary happiness 🤣🤣

I love your video. I travel with a small dog that love to swim. I notice when you showed the "no dog sign" on the beach. Did you see a spot to take our dog for a swim
@TheAverageTourist8 ай бұрын
Thanks so much. No I didn't see anywhere for dogs on the beach during our visit. The website says they are not permitted on the beach and there's no mention of an approved area for dogs to swim.

In case you didn't know this...a tip when directing..instead of saying LEFT or RIGHT...say DRIVERS SIDE or PASSENGER SIDE...eliminates confusion

Thanks. We did learn that eventually. But last year was our first season figuring out how to park a trailer 🤣

If I just wanted to go to to the beach for the day do you know how much that would be
@TheAverageTourist2 жыл бұрын
Ranges from 12.25 to 21.00 depending on the park and date. For a Saturday at Mara I think it's $18.00 for day use.

Possible to get the recipe for this meal?
@TheAverageTourist Жыл бұрын
It's really nothing fancy!! I cut up 2 chicken breasts, seasoned them with tex mex. Then I added a package of pre-cooked Mexican rice with black beans and cooked til warm. And a bagged side salad 🤣 easy and basic camp meal.

Should have watched this before I chose this park. There's almost no privacy that I see between camps!

I hear for this year it is a bit worse because they had to take trees down due to some invasive beetles.
@ytwatcher60205 ай бұрын
@@TheAverageTourist That sucks, but we have no choice at this point as there's no more alternative.
@TheAverageTourist5 ай бұрын
@ytwatcher6020 we've used our dining tent and positioned it between us and another site and then clipped a tarp up to it to create a divide and give us privacy. Maybe you can try that! Or positioning your tent or trailer to give you more privacy. Good luck!!
