Hi de hi campers, hope you're all well. Join me for another wild camp with my old mate ‪@descattysBushcraftbydescattys‬
This is a celebratory camp for me as I celebrate 1000 subscribers and give you a channel update. I also do a show and tell of the kit that I packed in to the rucksack. I put a new Evernew titanium frying pan through its paces and cook up some nice food. I also practice a few bushcraft skills.

Big up respect to you for reaching the sacred 1K. Its a tricky one with monetization... I always said I'd never do it, I hit all the monetization numbers a full 6 months before I decided I'd do it stealthily and hope nobody noticed because YT were putting ads on my channel anyway... However, when I saw some revenue come in, I changed the way I acted, stopped using copyright music, and I generally felt my personality changed. So far in the last 7 months I've made a grand total of £83.00. When I reach £100 I'm also giving mine away to charity. Watching the rest of your viddy now. Love your style mate.

Cracking video, do prefer 2 nights or more for a camp, get into a proper routine, scoff looked spot on too, surprised how good that titanium frying pan performed tbf,,love the ruc btw, great choice of charity too, nice one, good health and safe travels my friend, cheers craig

That titanium pan surprised me too if I'm honest, but it did have a ceramic non stick surface which definitely helped. Very impressive though and a great bargain. 👍

I am chuffed you’ve hit the 1k subs, Barn. Totally deserved! Loved the kit loadout section. As you say, folks love that. Great idea on stocking the area prior to the actual camp day. The allotment plot looks the bizzo. A fella I know grows the Reapers. Bannock, butter and jam is a winning combo matey, give it a bash next time you're out. Des does a pretty good bannock too, credit where it's due. I used to use a British army goretex bivvy bag ...I recently upgraded to a carinthia observer plus ...( I don't like bugs ...) I have previously had birch sap with a dram of scotch and it was really nice, thoroughly recommend doing that. Mr Jobby isn't a bit of me unfortunately, don't really go for the sour ales. Nothing wrong with squeaky cheese Lee, tis food of the squeaky gods. Well done for sticking with the video, I didn't half waffle on in this one and definitely felt that it was too long, even by my standards. We'll have to get another camp in the diary soon 👍

Great vid Barney enjoy it a lot a good set up there l watched a couple more of your videos ans how different they are 😊 a question you and Des cook with fresh and packaged foods does it put extra weight in your Bergen as am a ex vet l don't what to go down the path and just eat rations as a diabetic type 1 l got to balance out what l eat plus what you and Des make is spot on 😊👍

Hi Mark, many thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the videos. The fresh foods definitely add a bit of weight, but it's really not too much compared to the weight of a rat pack and I think it's worth it for a night or two. After all you're usually going out for a bit of fun in the woods and be comfortable. You can even get away with carrying fresh foods in the warmer months, just steer clear of things like chicken and fresh fish. Enjoy 👍
