Looks like a stunning area. I’d like to tour it, but the only thing that puts me off Europe is the time it takes to get there from where I live and my bike, which doesn’t have any wind protection. Thought about a double trailer, driving down with a mate and our wives and using a site as a base to go touring and staying in a mobile home on one of the sites. Our wives aren’t interested in biking, so would need facilities on a site, pool, bar etc. any suggestions on the sites you’ve been to? Kind regards Dave

It is a beautiful area right near the border with lots of history in the region…not too bad driving across and those new cabins they’re just building look ace..to be honest it seems hard to beat this place for what you fancy doing other than cafe/pool, however there’s another review being published next week just up in the Eifel National Park, Germany, and that site has cabins cafe and pizza restaurant 🤤 with incredible riding territory and plenty to do with the wives! I don’t go to many sites with pools etc as I tend to do more basic but did go to one in Kyllburg, Germany that had access to a pool, although they’re redeveloping post flooding…lovely site though! Watch out for ‘Heimbacher Campingplatz’ Sounds a good plan to get to do what you want and keep the wife happy as well 😂 👍🏻
