Back pressure issue in my opinion due to exhaust swap, put the original back on & monitor to confirm. Wouldn't trust any dealers, there useless.

Don't know why anyone would spend good money on an aftermarket exhaust, Harry Honda spent a fortune on research and development on the OEM one.

While that’s all true, the R&D prioritised factors that would get it through US and EU emissions regs. What it didn’t prioritise was weight, bulk and performance and for some people that’s critical. But you’re absolutely right it’s the low hassle option and perfectly good for the 5/95th percentile of users.

Hopefully the engine warning light will stay off now. Bearing in mind the bikes been modified, I think the dealership ‘has gone above and beyond’ to help you out 🙂 As far as I’m aware the engine warning light problem hasn’t occurred on any bike with its OEM exhaust.

If the problem only happens with aftermarket exhaust, I would say it's not a Honda problem but a problem with the exhaust. I mean, if I change out my original OEM headlights on my car with different ones and start blowing fuses, I can't really say my car has issues. It's an issue with the headlights.

It’s not the sensor at fault. It’s the slow to adapt ecu. Hence why Fish’s light went out after he kept using it, the ecu finally went “ohhhh ok I understand now”!

Top class camp site is this first time we went it was way to hot the 2nd time we went we got caught I'm a storm. Make sure you bring the correct tent as the weather can and will catch you out

Just need to leave it standard.The regulations abroad are getting tuffer on mufflers.All the new euro5 bike have been made to comply with euro legislation.They simply don't want you messing about with aftermarket cans.Im surprised if honda would warrant any warranty work if anything where to go wrong.

I put a scorpion on my 19 cb500x and the light came on and stayed on for a week . After it was parked up for 48 hours it went off and has never come back on .

@@thecampingbiker791 I remember seein a video about warmin her up, cycling it off/back on, then off for x amount of hours, but that was after a muffler swap and a ecu flash.

I watched a video recently about a guy with a new Africa Twin who had some fault lights on his dash and the dealers had a look but couldn't find out what the problem was so he was advised to "Stick a bit of insulating tape over the light so it doesn't annoy you at night" LOL that was a dealer down South of England.....he spent nearly £14k on it last year.

So, in case that aftermarket exhaust isn't the cause, we should expect the same warning light on original mufler too ? Time will tell. I have done about 2200km on mine, and everything is fine. Thanks for input.

@@ighost2605 I have had one commenter who has had the light come on with the original exhaust but most seem to have had aftermarket exhausts, although that could just be a coincidence on a statistically small numbers we know about.. if it has been a faulty sensor not all bikes are likely affected and as you say only time will tell.. it’s just down to keeping my fingers crossed for now.

on my old 2023 CB500x I ordered the mirror stem mount to connect it to the OEM GPS bar. came with a few different sized insets and one of them fit perfect on that smaller diameter bar.

@@mameluco780 hello and I think a first from Colombia which is fantastic! Yes, sadly Europe is rapidly trying to get rid of petrol vehicles, emissions being one route. I’m sure if they could they would ban motorcycles completely and if continued will end the free movement of ordinary people…I do wonder if this is the aim! The cost of living here in the UK is rapidly increasing but I suspect it’s the same in most countries but at least us motorcyclists can still be happy 😃 Colombia must be a great place to ride and the NX500 a perfect bike for doing so, keep safe my friend and many thanks for following…watch out for the update video tonight (UK 6pm), might just have a fix to the problem 😊 🇬🇧 🇨🇴

Hi. Very lovely area. Stayed across the road before. The Manifold Inn did awesome food when there before Covid. There is a farm shop cafe in Hartington which became our refuge on a very stormy day. Even tho we were like drowned rats they welcomed us in. Great breakfast went down well too.

i know this area like the back of my hand having cycled regulaly down the little back lane from the cavendish pavillion cafe nr bolton abbey on the back road through appletreewick and onto hebden/grassington/kettlewell and beyond since 1974, roads i now do on my motorbike instead, and although i dont camp anymore, think this site is in a great spot, especially when the sun shines, and as you alluded to the walking here is also fantastic, recently we did a loop through the valley of desolation, then upto simons seat and back, which is getting harder each year as i get fatter :), but any motorbikers wanting to use is as a base can't fail to find a superb ride in what is after all gods own country. i don't know how well u know the area, but if you need a days ride planning showing the best of the best in the dales, i'll do one for you and send it on gpx, just let me know. cheers

Thanks for making this. Just picked up a '23 X and planning to add racks/luggage soon. Your video was the best view I've found of these racks anywhere. Rally Raid should use your video on their site to show how it looks. That ONE oblique shot they have of the red bike with the racks just doesn't show much detail at all..

I noticed you didnt flat foot when you stopped. How tall are you? I got a 500 coming home tomorrow but i am 5'9 inches. I was like you when i sat down on the bike but dont know if your new front suspension is higher? Thanks for the video and cheers!

@@wpkambiancesounds I’m also 5’9” and can flat foot if positioned to very front of seat, any slight adjustment back and bad habits means it’s near but not quite flat foot, however the bike sits a couple of cm’s higher with the suspension so on standard bike it’s definitely flat footing 👍🏻

What do you think about the MT500 vs the Helm2 ?

@@carllawrence3756 I think the the MT500 and other Decathon tents are excellent value for money with very good in store support/repairs and a 5 year warranty but the Helm 2 is a better technical tent with higher HH waterproofness, slightly bigger interior, smaller pack size and has a great reputation.. difficult choice really and I’ve not owned a Helm2 but do respect Wild Country’s gear!

@@recycled3654 honestly, they feel so good and solid on the knife.. I’ll be modifying more and indeed I’ve been asked by someone I know to modify his Huntsman with Micarta scales which I’m also going to try on one of my knives! In fact I may work my way through various types of scales so we can eventually be able to compare.

Cracking video 👍. I'm a newbie and I'm trying to decide whether to go on my first wild camping with the bobcat tent and tarp, or just go for it and go for the tarp and bivi set up . Have you tried a bivi set up with this tarp ? If so have you made a video on it ?

@@CptPootash have you bought the bobcat and tarp, they would be just the job for a wild camp! I carry a tarp but don’t always use it, for me it’s more rain use than dry but gives a good camp set up and currently I’m using a Robens Tarp, very similar to OEX one. I’ve never used a bivi set up but have thought about it, just think a small tent is quick enough and has room to move, however I’ll probably give it a go sometime!

@@thecampingbiker791 I've bought a few tents to be honest 😂. I was thinking about taking the bobcat because I've set them both up together just to try them out and it looked like a good set up. It's giving rain and 30 mph winds on Friday and Saturday up the lakes so might be pushing that tarp to the limit 😂

I too like the aftermarket slip ons. I hope this gets sorted soon for you. I wonder if anyone in the states have the same issue with their slip ons with the NX.

@@findingneutral just got the bike back with a change of 02 Sensor however a bit early to confirm that’s fixed the problem.. I’ll be posting an update video this week, just need a conversation with the mechanic for further detail. Can’t say I’ve had feedback from the states but I’d be surprised if there wasn’t some issues.

@@timothybrockbank7474 the bike is excellent, has the feel of the 500X but with subtle body improvements, much better clock display, switchable traction control, and other little improvements, however I currently have an issue with the emission warning light coming on and we’re just not sure if the problem is because of the aftermarket exhaust fitted! Despite this the bike is running sweetly and we’ll eventually figure it out!

Got my SW Motech stand delivered today for my 2021, 1st thing i noticed is that the duckhead shaped lobes in my stand are identical each side.... Fitted it to the bike, had lots of free play in the bolt and return spring aligned to a different mechanism, had an adjustable metal loop screwed to the stand with a small allen bolt, which aligned at a funky angle.....does this sound familiar re your 1st ordered stand?

@@kylethyne2317 it does.. there was a bit of confusion over pre and post 2019 models and mine was incorrect so they swopped it over to correct version and that just fitted like a glove!
