Nothing like enjoying an epic rain storm from a hammock under a tarp. One thing that really struck me while watching this, and then realized I've had the same feeling from your other trips documented but wasn't conscious of until now, is how your cinematography really makes it feel like the viewer is there experiencing the trip with you. Maybe since I could relate to so much in this video since this is how I've been camping for a long time now, is why I was more aware of that feeling of being there while watching, because I have experienced the same many times lol.

You've become one of my favorite channels. Awesome trip. Love the new hammock, they make some awesome gear. I use the onewind tarp too, the olive one with some modifications to the tieouts. It's a great tarp! Pair that with my ducthware hammock and quilts from hammock gear, and I sleep like a baby out there.

Trangia Stoves are my favorite stoves. I don't use the stands. Because they take up to much room for me. But, love the burners.👍👍 Love the rain sound to sleep. Now add a rocking sailboat ⛵ and a clanging halyard. The ultimate 💤💤💤💤💤

I've stopped using alcohol and started going with the gel instead for my stoves. What's nice is that you can reuse the gel where excess alcohol needs to be dumped. Plus you don't have to worry about spilling or the container leaking as much.

Every now and then one needs to chill and indulge in junk food and noodles 🍜. I love 💘 noodles. That hammock looks super comfy. Bet you slept well, warm and relaxed to the pitter patter of the rain. Just a few of those conditions I have camped in. As a kid during a 7 day trip on the St Johns River with a friend. Weather was nice then rain and wind for 3 days ( tent was sideways ) and back to calm winds. Found out we camped in a hurricane , late 50's. Again another hurricane this time but while camping in the Everglades , Hurricane Charlie , August 2004. A canoe trip later in life , August 2019 , on the Brazos River , A tornado flatten my tent with me in it. Off river we found out it was a Tornado with 90 mph winds at our part of the river , Marlin Texas , that night. Paddling out in the morning the winds were registered at 55 mph. People wounder why I like to hear the rain on the Hammocks rain fly. A trip without some Rain and /or Owls hooting is a failure and I have not had one yet.

That first cup of coffee looked fairly weak. The french press style coffee should have a a 4-5 minute steep time before pressing the screen down. However, if light coffee is what you were going for, do your thing.

@@thelvadam8916 Yeah. I was attributing the light coffee due to the nearly immediate plunge of the screen just after pouring the hot water in. I did that once, and ended up with some bland watered down coffee. 4-5 minutes seems to be the sweet spot, any longer is just letting stuff cool too much and really doesn't add any additional umph.

Just placed an order for one of those Superior Gear hammocks! I went with an all Charcoal -30 (didn't see a -40 option) with Elite upgrade and Elite Suspension as well as the -30 XL Elite Comforter (also Charcoal) and the upgraded Winter Shelter 14 in white. I also threw in the Superior Cocoon (also Charcoal) with Elite upgrade and a DayLite Hammock for use as a gear sling, chair, or whatever - fits in a pocket so should come in handy. Excited to try it out up here in the Finnish arctic this winter! Thanks for introducing me to this hammock! :)
