Love it! nice work on the boat. A few things I recommend. 1- get your boat assessed and insured 2-make sure you have a CO detector in the cabin, especially since you have that generator. 3- get a danforth style anchor, that modified mushroom wont hold much if it gets windy. 4- keep enjoying it!

If you are going too continue sleeping out on the water in Itty Bitty, you really should have an anchor light on at night, ALL night, for safety. You've done such a beautiful job with the restoration, I'd hate to see it crushed by a passing vessel at night, especially with you guys in it. It's required by law in my waters. Same with our waters. Our houseboat has an anchor light that turns on and is visible in all directions of the boat automatically. That way we don't have to think about it. It is also a low current draw running off a separate lithium Ion battery that lasts for a week and charges when the engine is on.

ayo if you take some flex metal pipe you can divert the exhaust from the generator into the lake water or a cooler of water and it will be almost silent. also be carful with the generator up higher the fumes will settle lower. great vid as usual. next should be a dont leave the itty bitty for 72hr challange.

Congratulations on experiencing the dream you have had from the start! You and Davey have done what a lot of folk would consider the impossible. You stripped it to a shell and rebuilt from scratch. I've done this with cars and the advantage of doing this is you know every cubic inch of the vehicle and all its idiosyncrasies, so no surprises. Look into a battery pack instead of the generator. I have seen one sponsor some people on YT. It might be called (blu etty) idk but they are great for camping. You can charge them with solar or plug into a outlet. it can run a lot of things last forever. They sponsor some vids on ODS channel

Looks good, now you just need some rod holders installed. You should also build a couple flip down bunks on either side of the boat so that no one has to put an air matteress in the middle of the floor. You'll have the two pull down bunks plus the bench. Can't wait to see more adventures.

Loved the build and the struggle with fiberglassing a wet "cardboard box". She runs surprisingly well for such a top heavy boat. Looks like a great fishing platform from multiple levels which hopefully has been worth the blood, sweat and a tear or two.

This makes me smile. My fathers family came to Florida in the 60's, and they couldn't afford the materials yet for Grandfather to build the house. So they basically lived on the Kissimmee River for the first couple of years on a houseboat until they could. Great fishing and hunting on that river. My father remembers his days from that fondly. Glad you finally got the houseboat done. Not telling you what to do, but you probably should put some rod holders topside to save some space, and they are readily handy when you climb up there. As for the generator, I don't know how much power you need, but maybe you can get by on those Honda EU generators that weigh less and are a whole lot quieter. Have fun guys, you deserve it! :)

We used to go crappie fishing with my daddy that all started when we were just kids. We had the chance to go one last time a year before he passed away with pancreatic cancer. We got there early, 2 hrs before sun up, tossed those floating lights and burnt those crappie up. As always we had all the live wells filled in 3 hrs and plenty of fish for the family fish fry. This episode had me crying like a baby needing some nanny jug. All those good times over the years came flooding back and I was overwhelmed with emotions. Thank You.. I love the Itty Bitty, what a great transformation. Looks, rides, and works amazing. We have a camper and a boat, but this is like doing both at the same time, what a great adventure this has been. Suggest an inverter type generator, much quieter and should handle the load you have just fine. Love the series. Got a suggestion for a location... Erie PA. It would be a bit of a hike for you guys, but we've got a bay and the Lake to fish on. Great Beaches too.
