I'm bicycling across France this summer. I think it is quite possible for you drive right around France with the Ami. There are camp sites literally every 10km. They all have electricity, maybe 2kw, if you pay a little extra. They are mostly well shaded and very quiet at night. Needless to say you should bring your own tent, inflatable mattresses and a small table and chair and you are all set. You probably need some sort of roof rack unless you take less electronic equipment which seems to occupying most of your car. That would be quite an adventure, a true Charger Pride manifestation.

Get a hot water bottle (for heated seat/back) and some old-school driving gloves. You'll be fine. And you'll be quids in with all the savings in fuel, road tax, and monthly payments. I can't wait to get mine. 🤑

The tent/cabin was well equipped.Love the outdoor kitchen/BBQ.My family grew up tenting. Very basic but fun as a kid.Now "Roughing It" means "Glamping". Charging the Ami looked like quite an effort! There is one thing with going on holiday in Elton, you only need to pack the bare essentials, so you can be ready for the off in minutes and you can leave the kitchen sink behind. That's a great glamping tent with a wonderful view. Far more comfortable than sleeping on the ground in a small two 🧍‍♂️ 🧍‍♂️& 1 🐕 pop up⛺️ . Don't forget to sing the gin gan goolie song as you sit around the camp fire 🤣🤣

Nice review, I'm trying to get my "driver licenceless" to like this little beauty. That issue with the sunroof could maybe be solved with some reflective film that you could stick from inside? Like some people do on their car windows. You could get one in this sort of mirror effect, which allows you still to see outside but being reflective, most of the heat would be, well, reflected 😅

This sounds quite "hokey", but I want you to know the truth about some things. With certainty, the Riviera has very narrow roads, narrow sidewalks and is very "cramped" in many places. I saw that in Maastricht and many other well visited and not so well visited Medieval towns throughout Europe. I personally have a very difficult time in "cramped" places and especially in Europe where people tend to drive very fast down narrow roads (like the Riviera, etc). Keep in mind - that is "just me". :) Yet, in EVERY film you two do, you always emphasize the "positive energy" found in each trip, each community, the positive energy people with whom you always interact and the positive experiences you have both CHOSEN to create for yourselves. :) You need to know that, for as "nervous" as I always personally become in such environments, after watching every film you post, I DO feel "very calm" and "very safe". All of what you both do is excellent. :) Best to you both. :). Antoine

Thanks. It has camping at all prices which is both good and bad.. it was about €130 a night. Good if a big family. More expensive If just two. But it’s a great location (apart from the wood cutting!)

@@MeandMonAmi yes, that rule only applies in France. The rest of Eu follows the same traffic rules. Any European traveling in the country must follow the european traffic law...so yes the French need an AM in Italy.

insurance is not a driver's license.....So if you don't have a driver's license, and you get accident test against....the insurance won't assist/reimburse you.....since you are not in order with the licence to drive. but getting a driver's license AM is very easy to obtain...provided a small exam
