Having had a bad case of the squits myself, the thought of leaving home and close proximity to the loo is terrifying. I think he did really well, but he was looking a little anxious by the time you got there, we'll done Richard. BTW, my husband used to follow short cuts... I banned him because although the roads weren't mule tracks, the cut was never short!

The Ikea trip reminded me of an episode of “Keeping Up Appearances”, where Richard & Hyacinth visit a garden centre, and poor Richard can’t see to drive because of the plants purchased. That's the good thing about the Ami. You can cut the Passenger Seat, reattach it with hinges and put a plastic pail or Potty under it. A Toilet on the go. Ha! Ha! Good to see Mr Boo back. The ending was funny…. the plant purchase may have backfired! Hope you chaps, the plant and the Ami made it home safely. The seat cushions hopefully ended up making the return drive bearable. IKEA Nice’s grand opening couldn’t be left empty handed which was just as well for the dog legged narrow back switch road to it wouldn’t have been worth the effort of getting there. Seven years worth of waiting and anticipation well rewarded!

I somehow can really relate to how Mr Boo felt, but it's slightly worse for me if I were on a public bus with I seem to consider to be bad or worn-out suspension. As for the music during the sped-up driving clips, I somehow didn't expect country music with French lyrics to be a thing. I also don't know why, but whenever I watch videos where people visit their local IKEA stores, things seem off to me only because I'm too accustomed to my local IKEA store, even more so because despite in-store signs being in a different language, I still recognise the design elements and iconography. I do find the underground parking interesting as the only IKEA stores I've visited in person either had multistorey parking or was one that was inside a mall. (13:31) They probably wanted to interview someone who natively speaks French. (13:50) One thing I forgot is that the room settings in IKEA showrooms are based on homes in the country the store is located in. I do remember learning about that from a CNA Insider episode that covered IKEA in Singapore. (13:53) (14:07) 😳 (14:10) I'm surprised to see that as my local IKEA don't have those, though it has been a few months since my last visit so they may have uograded to have them. (17:20) I've seen them and didn't think of them like that! I do also find the price differences interesting. €199 in countries that use Euro currency but $319 for the same model in Singapore. I may or may not eventually get one of the table versions in an attempt to sneak an air purifier into the loungeroom in my flat. (19:35) I was somehow expecting him to scan in an IKEA Family card as that's what I usually do first, but I assume he doesn't have one. (23:25) The little handheld Swedish flag sticking out the window led me to imagine what it'd be like if quadricycles were classified to be road-legal in Sweden and if some teens were to drive around stuff like Citroen Ami or Fiat Topolino instead of (the possibly more fun for some people) A-traktor converted cars.

@@MeandMonAmi I wouldn't expect it to be removable without tools, but if it is just 4 bolts/nuts to unscrew it would be possible the odd day you want more room, just not by design. As you say, there is a lot of room. I don't think it would make much difference when you only have side loading through the door, and the passenger seat is far to the rear, unless someone came up with a way to add a hatch for rear loading. But that's just my ideas living a life on its own. And I don't think it would matter at all for to most people to make them consider an Ami. The difference is not that much, and if they really need room for cargo, it might be too small whatever they try. Love watching your videos, a balanced mix of: casuall, relaxing, informative, entertaining. Even if I'm more triggered to interact on technical questions, I hugely enjoy "the backdrop", and the general mood is just as important!

I didn't know the French made "country music." Why have you decided all tree trimmers, road repair and other annoying outside workers have some connection to Alcatraz? I remember my one IKEA buying experience. I bought a big round ceiling lamp for the living room and found out when I got home that they expected me to cut a foot wide hole in the ceiling! Rather than try to return it, I decided to take all the wires and transformers and circuity looking things off the back and reattach them to the inside of the lamp. That way I could attach the back flush with the ceiling with only a small gap around the edge. I'm sure I violated every fire regulation in the book, but no fires ever started.

guys, you look good. Don't mind the "hurried" drivers who bother you on the roads.. (as if they are in a hurry to save the world) when you left there it was like you were in a walking botanical garden. LOL.. If possible, can I ask you a favor? Someone on youtube tried to charge the tesla with a portable generator and failed.. but i believe ami can be charged with portable generator and i made a bet with a friend about it.. I think this is the convenience of 48 volts.. Imagine going to a place where there is no electricity source for a picnic and charge your vehicle with the generator you carry behind the driver's seat. would you do this?

Bahahaha , "the story of IKEA, once your in you may be in for life." I used to get very faint every time I visited an IKEA store. I am really getting a big kick out of your channel.
