I love a good storm! Strong winds and very heavy rain but surprisingly mild. A camping adventure on a mountain bike carrying all my gear for a night to weather the storm. I use a 30 litre backpack and kept it light to keep the comfort whilst on the bike. The Fjallraven Abisko Lite 1 tent kept me dry, PHDesigns kept me warm and GSI outdoors fed and watered me.

Love the rain, as a kid I always went out over the fields with my trusty border collie in the rain. I'd wake up in the morning and my Mum would say 'your kind of day today Phil ', still love it now, get the waterproofs on get the dog and get outside can't beat it and added bonus...nobody else is out so got the world to myself 😂😊

I just learned a great trick for drying out boots, socks, and gloves: Boil rocks in a pot of water. Take the rocks out, and as soon as they are dry, stuff them into your gloves and socks, and put the socks into your wet boots or sneakers. The advantage of putting rocks in boiling water instead of the fire is that they get hot enough to dry out your equipment, but not hot enough to burn or melt it.

I’ve got a nice Ribble bike but I would have cried if I’d of had to go through the water you did and as I’m only 4ft 10’’ it would have probably been over my knees 😂😂😂. Who would have the thought that the Blue Danube would go well with mountain biking Yorkshire fells? Another great video, I really enjoyed it. The first storm I didn't enjoy but was scared of was Kyrill. I had to get home from work in the evening driving through the woods. Luckily the storm had calmed down by then, but I did have to inch my way past a fallen pine or two and drive through knie deep debris. I was scared stiff all the way. Take care and ignore the nasty remarks.

Love your videos Al mate. The weather the last 4-months has been crazy floods extremely high winds and caused massive damage down south.. I have been out on the summits in some extreme crazy weather in Scotland and Lake District...lol. In regards to your gsi pinnacle soloist set and minimalist pot set they nest together perfectly and bought them after seeing them on your channel. My favroutes for day hikes the Soto Thermostack 3-pot system its incredible and is also a thermal mug. The best stove ever made is the Soto Windmaster its the best stove on the market it bucks the wind perfectly. I Hate Jetboil stoves with a passion.
