For all the viewers here: Storm passed away last Tuesday night, while trying to reach his car. He didn't make it through the snowstorm, and the SOS service couldn't fly, because of the storm. My baby was only 22, and started back- and bikepacking at the age of 19. He never had troubles before, this was bad luck 😪

Thank you all for the kind replies ♥♥♥ Yesterday I did my funeral, on the 30th of november in Geraardsbergen, Belgium. That's exactly one month later then october 30th, when he passed away in harsh conditions. It was a beautiful minimalistic funeral, with all his lovely friends, my dear friends and my small family. I made a huge powerpoint - about one hour - to demonstrate his biography. What a wonderfull boy he was and always will be. May he not be forgotten...

1 month ago I found his channel, I watched few videos and comment "Keep going man" and he answered me "Definitely!" now I saw post about this tragedy. The amazing thing is that he was there for almost 5 months, alone in the woods and mountains, without seeing anyone - accept one guy now and then. The sad thing is, he didn't come home, and he died alone on a mountain in the freezing cold, and there was no help, although he believed that he would be rescued when pushing the botton.

Like many others, I came to this Channel after hearing the tragic news of the loss of this young man's life. It's not the time nor place to be making judgements, in my opinion. We can learn from Storm's story whilst still showing respect for his choice to follow his heart and achieve what he did. His videos are so calming and relaxing, whilst showing off the magnificent beauty of this region. It's so very sad that he only got to make these few videos, but I hope they can be enjoyed without passing judgement on him. How many still sit in their arm chairs watching a screen, without ever stepping foot out into nature? I have always had a great love and respect for nature. My longest jaunt was for five long years, although this was by using a tent, vehicle and finally a small Motorhome which I still own. I travelled with only my loyal companion, a stunning German Shepherd, for company. There's nothing like having an entire continent for one's pleasure. I hope that people can see the beauty of being in amongst nature and be inspired to at least give it a try. I hope that Storm's videos can at least achieve this. What we must remember, is that not everyone is able to fit into society so easily. Many prefer nature and can only truly feel at home here. Who are we to judge? Storm paid the ultimate price for his decision to choose nature. His mother is keeping this YT Channel going for us and others to view these beautifully made videos. We can at least respect this choice. It hasn't been long since Storm passed and many are still grieving. Be aware of this fact. For Storm's family and friends, stay strong and have faith that he is in a better place. I hope you're getting the support that you need. Please, do not blame yourselves. I didn't know your work at all and I deeply regret it because I felt a really great serenity watching the first of your videos. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of your work : the images, the sound, the zoom on certains points... And above all : the great calm of each scene. That's nice, 'hiker's paradise' ♥ He was a roockie with the camera you know, but indeed very talented! Storm never filmed before his last trip. He learned it all (filming, sound and assembly) in those (almost) 5 months, so underway. I told him that if he'd come home (which was the plan) that he had to go to filmschool, to perfectionize his camerawork. But I don't think he could have learned much in filmschool. He was a DYI man 🙂
