We took our Timberleaf teardrop trailer over to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State for a 3-day camping trip. We planned to camp right on the coast overlooking the Pacific Ocean at one of our favorite campgrounds (Kalaloch) and then head inland into the Hoh Rainforest inside Olympic National Park for some rainforest camping. If you ever visit the Hoh Rainforest be sure to hike the Hall of Mosses trail (.8 mile) it’s amazing! It rained on us almost the entire time, but we were prepared to do some camping in the rain with plenty of canopy options, including our Slumberjack SJK Roadhouse tarp, which we love!

How do you find campgrounds open in the winter that are first come first served? Love winter camping and we’re always looking for new adventures!

Just good old fashion research 😉 We find an area we want to visit on Google Maps and search for "camping". When we see a campground, we'll see if there is a website and go from there. Recreation.gov is a good site for all the park and national forest campgrounds.

Outdoorsy is how we got started in eventually getting our teardrop (TC ORE teardrop) too. Is it arduous to list a trailer to rent on it? Another great video, thanks for taking us along! And I still think putting up an umbrella in the canopy *could* work. You might have to MattGyver it a bit 😂

They actually make it pretty simple. Highly recommend if you have a trailer sitting around. Lol. Definitely trying the umbrella. If for nothing else, a good laugh 😂
