Have you ever tried snow camping? What’s your best tip for staying warm in freezing weather?

yea... no fun with no heat. Always take backup. Depending on where I'm going/altitude/etc, I have two different sizes of catalytic heaters, heated mattress cover and even a 400w electric I can run off the house batteries. I'm on my 4th build of diesel heater at this point.. I'm getting pretty good at it, but still know not to fully trust them.

Yeah we would normally just bring 0 degree sleeping bags. But we got complacent

Nasty looking night. I love winter camping in the back of my truck, but rainy, wet, and cold would definitely make for a long night. Good call with no heat or a way to dry out😊

Taking a wild guess: most common issue with diesel heaters is when you try to run them off a portable battery bank. At startup they draw just above the 10A that most power ports are rated for.

It was the fuel pump. Got gummed up. Cleaned and works just fine now. We have an ecoflow delta 2 max. Never had a power issue so far. Appreciate the tip though.

Any ecoflow brand will run the heater as I have 2 diesel heater s
