Been watching for 5 years plus and just got caught up on some of your older/beginning videos. Have always enjoyed your content. I started wondering something and seeing you canoeing at roughly 7:15 pretty much instilled the idea that you need to learn to switch arms while sawing wood. Just like you switch positions using an ax and swing with each arm doing the predominate work(back and forth, back and forth). I know it is awkward but you can train your left arm over time if you put in the effort. Think of it this way… what happens if your right arm is injured in some way… would you sit at home, or would you still want to get out doing what you love? Get your left arm and hand as strong and proficient as your right. You’re young enough now; don’t wait 😊

Went home the 2nd night because it was raining an the tent turned to complete mist. It was hitting my face in the sleeping bag. How does your hammock not turn to mist? Rained both nights but i put a tarp over the tent the 1st night. Buckeye went crazy from the rain hitting the tarp and ran all around an jumped on my back an fixed it! I hope. I had fun. Joe seemed to be spending a lot of time steering the boat, rather than just paddling; is there any way a rudder could be fitted to a boat like that? There would be times when using the rudder and the paddle would get tricky but, under normal conditions, it might work. Alternatively, would one person be able to provide enough forward momentum that the other could just stick to steering?

2:05 I always find it easier to put the gunwale in my elbow pit and my hand on the side of the canoe when I swing the canoe onto my head/neck. You have more control of the canoe. Works with my 15‘Prospector pretty good.
