Good day. Simon. I've missed you and your videos. "Mr Chippy". Your the best all round carpenter and joiner bloke that I know. I just don't know how you find the time to do all the work and making films, just for us blokes in the woods?. God, thank you for letting me stumble over your site, and finding out what you get up to, camping in the woods. You are just so clever and wonderful to watch doing all the thing's that you do. Thank you ever so much for all your hard work that you do in bringing us so much pleasure..

Simon, thank you for keeping it so real without any commercialism, merchandising, etc. You're a top bloke, down to earth, believable, a real pleasure to be in the virtual company of. After watching this video, I feel as relaxed as if I were out there with you breathing in the same air, enjoying the same scenery and nature sounds. I now look forward to a brief, but good night of sleep. 👍

Simon, I am a great fan of both you and Andy of kent survival - I love watching the videos and the literally down to earth process of making some shelter, prepping the firewood and cooking some camp food - its s formula that is so relaxing and frankly never gets old. I notice that Andy is trying to do something different every week - testing gear, camping in the city etc - and whilst i enjoy his videos - I much prepare to keep things the largely the same - the simple woodland trip with minimalist shelter, dinner and breakfast just never gets old. Please keep it coming and please dont vary the formula too much - if its not broken, dont fix it. - its superb!

Simon, always great to see a new video from you. I watch from the Sonoran desert of Arizona USA. Loved the shot of you through the "spyglass" of the faĺlen tree trunk at 55 -56 seconds. You must be very observant to have spotted that it was, however smaĺl, there at all! I wonder if it is your habit to scout around the area you tramp through for unusual shots. It is refreshing to see a camping show that still features a fine overnight stay with cowboy steak on the hot coals and a comfortable shelter with minimal gear using materials at hand in the woods. I am impressed with the work that you put in constructing a woodland cot for only one night's stay. All the fancy gear is fun, but I love the ingenious bushçrafting more! You must be a very busy man to hold down a job, be a family man, friemd, kèp up with projects for home & family, plan/shoot/edit/post videos for your viewers. I think we shall have to recognize that you are something of a powerhouse no matter how laid-back and affable you are. Over the years, my favorites have been building your beautiful sturdy canoe, your canvas tent sewed & designed from scratch, when you take us exploring over great Britain afoot on multiple- day hikes, canoeing waterways remote and even out onto the Thames, the charity paddle through all the lachs. I feel that I have sèen and experienced the wild heart of Britain. You are every bit an ambassador for your country. Thankyou for taking us along to places I could never have imagined beyond the stereotypical travel destinations. Lucky us.

Simon, I appreciate your video. I didn’t get out once this year too hectic at work . i’m going to make a conscious effort to get out in the woods and clear my mind. We have an election cycle going on here in the states and I need to get away from the circus. Thanks again.

SOOO wonderful to another upload!! You know we love you Simon!! Oh yes, a very clever cot arrangement. I always enjoy seeing some bushcraft ideas and techniques! Oh, you are a vegetarian's nightmare! What a gorgeous steak, but I like mine medium rare. Lots of pink in the middle. Your looked so good I had to run out to the freezer to get a steak to cook later today. I was sure the sauce you were excited about was one of Andy's I tried to preorder but they were gone before I could get in. Oh well. I'm not that big on hot sauce anyway, but wanted to support his efforts. Maybe the new tenants will let you camp there once in a while as well. You do no harm and in fact clean it up a little bit.
