Hey Viking! We were there at Harbor Island swimming with the snakes about an hour before you arrived that day. Small world!

Thank you for pronouncing "DeTour" correctly. My channel has gotten 100,000 of views from that boat launch you started out at.

Great rig for small boat camping. Thanks for sharing that. Hoping to travel down from Lake Champlain to the Hudson River and out the Erie, and seeing how folks do small boat overnights is encouraging.

Maybe its because I spend so much time fishing, but this seems like it would drive me insane. Around or after sunset I would have to get off and walk around before settling back in for the night. The concept of sleeping on the water is actually kinda cool though. Would you call this dingy boat you have one of the better and cost effective options for a solo adventurer? I've spent a lot of time in my bass boat but these adventures you go on are calling my name!

Oh yeah. The zodiac is the master of the sea - can handle any sea, stable, cramped, but has a capacity of 2,800 lbs, hard to sink. Slow as hell (32 mph with a 60hp) and rough ride. Long mileage on a single tank - like pushing a balloon. Cost effective - the boat is about $6,500 new. Did a whole video on it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kH2ZXmqMZbqUqpY

Another great video, thanks for taking us along for the adventure. What are the specs on your Zodiac?
@RestlessViking4 жыл бұрын
Hey Rob, Thanks! It is a Zodiac Futura Mark III, 15' Long, 6'9" wide, it weights 256lbs, approved for 9 persons or 2,882 lbs of capacity. It has a max HP of 60, though they recommend 50hp. I did a video a while back about the boat and equipment. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kH2ZXmqMZbqUqpY

@@RestlessVikingI'll have to check it out. I've had my 15' StarCraft aluminum runabout in Lake Huron a couple of times, I'm not a good enough mariner to feel comfortable doing that though. Keep the vids coming, they're a nice escape.

Why does the boat have two lengths? One you give to the coast guard and the other you use for income tax and insurance purposes? 🤣
