It wasn't as good as it looked. I have been enjoying your videos. Good stuff! I haven't commented lately because google change my Chanell name when I do. To "Backpacking with a hammock". Trying to figure that one out.

WOW, paddling on a "wild river", didn't think something like that existed. The weather and scenery looked beautiful and all of you had such a great time. BTW: Let your son know that I've added stainless steel chop sticks to my cooking kit...turns out to be quite the multifunctional tool around camp. Thanks Zak.

Love the Namekagon! I did a section solo last fall. I was really impressed with the quality of some of the campsites and certain areas are very wild and challenging. It is legit. If you ever need to borrow a canoe (and leave the kayaks behind), you are welcome to mine. I also have a two-place canoe trailer and - I am right down the road!

Is your canoe Royalex? ( plastic ). And if you and you family want to ever use our kayaks ( I have 4 ) for and trip or for a day on the Willow, to adventure up to the waterfall and back. Please let me know. I hope to see you with Danny at the Wisconsin Frozen Butt Hang.

What a blessed time. Wish I had a chance to go camping more often but this year was a hard one for camping for us. Praying next year will give us more camping time. So nice to see you all enjoying each other. My husband asked me "why are so many camping videos more about food and eating than the actual camping?" I had no answer. Other than to show him one of our videos where I speed lapsed toasting a marshmallow. I often ask why so many people cook where they are camping when we are advised we should never do that. Honestly, I cook where I camp too, but the bear experts say you shouldnt.

In the Bible. When people got together. It was always around food. That is a big part of fellowship and where conversations are at it's best. There is nothing like cooking on a open fire. Especially with people you love.

My husband and I have this debate when we go camping. Cook over flame or cook over hot embers. I prefer flame, he prefers embers. I bet Henry wishes he had went with you.
@AdventureswiththeMarine
@AdventureswiththeMarine Жыл бұрын
Embers always gives you and even heat. Easier to cook with. And plus no suit on the bottom of the pot. Tell your husband to get you out camping. My brother just bought an old outfitters house on that river we where on. If you and your husband are interested in something like that. He would provide a shuttle and a bunkhouse on the first and last day. No cost. It is one of the last wild river in the U.S.

My brother just bought an old outfitters place on the Namekagon River. Where he and his wife are going to live. He is thinking about doing a shuttle service for people. And I am encouraging him and his wife to think about guiding. He has a bunkhouse for the first night. So if you are interested. I will hook you up.
