What’s the new opener going to be: We have been travelling around Australia in old and brand spanking new Toyota’s for more than three years 🤔😉😁 Maybe you need to ease yourself into the new car with some simple steps. Here’s a few to help get you started: Air down the front tyres to simulate lack of power steering Leave air conditioning off and heater slightly on to provide the comforting feeling of engine heat radiating in to the cab Play a recording of Elsie in the cab so you don’t feel anxious from the lack of reassuring mechanical noise

We spent the night at your last camp site in SA near the water crossing between Christmas and new years. Although your weather was wet it looks like you had a better time than us as we had a bunch of people staying at the other end of the site who decided to walk about all night long. Great work on the videos keep up the work it's great watching your adventures.

Thanks for sharing. Nice rig ye have. I've just watched your last two vids and it comes across that the travelling is a chore? Maybe it was the end of a long trip?
@OverlandTravellers3 жыл бұрын
Yep sire is..... End of a one month trip that turned to 5, driven nearly 30 thousand kms, just finished 2 massive 4WD shows and we had to drive across the whole country in a few days..... It was very much a chore haha. I suggest watching some of the videos from the start of the trip, the Simpson desert crossing and the Tropical North QLD videos :)

Hi Guys, are you able to use side awnings attached to your awning to give you privacy and shelter also?
@OverlandTravellers3 жыл бұрын

Was that a pedestrian crossing in the middle of nowhere? 🤔 Those cliffs gave me anxiety, wouldn’t want to wander off in the middle of the night :/

hey guys. Long time viewer, new subscriber. Wondering if I can ask your honest opinion regarding your rooftop set up. Any hesitancies or regrets loading the 40-series roof and rails with this load? I do read a lot of negative opinions and have a troopy myself. Wondering what to do. Personally I hate the exoskeletons I see on 40-series troopies, just hate the look. I would love to rock a similar setup as yourselves with storage, tent, and solar but wonder if it's worth it long term if there's going to be damage... reckon I could pinch a moment of your time for your thoughts? Thank you and happy travels.
@OverlandTravellers3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. You definitely notice it up there when driving and off road. If your troopy is pristine I wouldn’t do it, you do notice a bit of ware on the gutters, paint comes off and moister sits so it will eventually start to rust. I think if you could just keep it to the rack and tent it would be no worries. We’re not fans of the chassis mounted racks ether!! We love the convenience and comfort of the setup though so we will take the ware and tear on the car. Few more leaks popped up as well.

Time to set up an awning, should not matter, why be is in such a rush in life!? Enjoy the moments and take your time. I do not understand why time is heavily promote on setting up products. I turn off straight away.
@OverlandTravellers3 жыл бұрын
The less time setting up, the more time you do have to enjoy things. Also doing it every day you want it to be efficient, especially if the weather is bad.
@bush2coast8013 жыл бұрын
But you didn't turn off straight away. You made a criticism of OLT's way they setup which is nothing to do with you.... You do YOU and let others do their thing !
@christurner683 жыл бұрын
@@bush2coast801 yes i did did off straight away. And yes you are exactly right people can do exactly what they want, totally agree.
