Thank you very much. I have been looking for campsite's facilities reviews. And this helps a lot!

Loved your video. So thankful that your focus was on the facilities as so many people just share the scenery & forget about the basics. We pre-ordered our tents, mats & munchies but wondered about the mats - particularly how thick & how comfortable they are. We are taking our own sleeping bags & have pre-ordered boxed b/fasts & lunches + dinners. Note that we might not have done that had we have seen your amazing video beforehand (as those meals are pricey). Thank you again. Geoff & Jenny 🇨🇦

Fantastic. Thanks for throwing this together! We are heading down in February (2023), also doing pre-arranged tent camping. Hoping that we can rely on the Rfugios for all food needs, aside from dried snacks. This video answered a lot of my questions and provided nice views on just what each stire has to offer. Thinking some cheap shower flip flops might be good. :-/

Hi! Nice video! Just missing some prices of the camping, do you remember any? Can you bring your own tent? Would that make it cheaper!?

Oh Patagonia!! It was my dream to go there- and a fair portion of the people there speak welsh (highly bizarre since Wales itself is tiny) lovely to see you still wandering ☀️❤️

So it's interesting that you brought that up. When we go somewhere new I try to pick up a book to read something to go along with the area (this is Shelley!). For Patagonia I picked Bruce Chatwin's book _In Patagonia_ . It was written in the 70s and essentially is a collection of stories about his time there wandering through the region. Talking to people, chasing down legends, stories and leads. It was the once seem as the last corner of the world that was still wild (still seen like that environmentally). But a reoccurring thing with the stories of the people had such diverse clusters of people that ended up there for all different reasons. Some were escaping persecution, some were ship wrecked, some came for a frontier for opportunity and others were drawn there to flee the law and be criminals. They talk about descendants of Welsh immigrants in the book. Thank you for tuning in to our channel your kind words mean a lot!

@@JustAdrift that’s fantastic..how I wish I could go. Oh..while I remember- your partner looks like an uncanny double (a younger double) of the British actor Stephen Graham- such a resemblance I think!!

I have seen a lot of videos of torres del paine and this one is, by far, the only one that explains everything with details! I'm chilean by the way :) and is my first time doing camping solo in the patagonia and I have absolut no idea what they have to offer, what food to pack or how the tents that I rent where and the conditions hahahaha thank you so much!

Are hikers required to stay at these expensive camp sites or can you just bring your own things and stealth?

Do either of you speak Spanish? I am thinking about doing the trek in December but am a little concerned because my Spanish is very basic.

Hi Christopher. Neither of us are fluent in Spanish. Most of the staff speak enough english to communicate with you. Go for it!!!

Amazing video. Did you have to book each camp site separately before your trip? I guess my question is how did you reserve everything?
@JustAdrift
@JustAdrift 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Nathan, There are two main companies that you book the campsites or accommodations through. We made another video with all of the details in our Patagonia playlist. We were able to book a month ahead of time but that is unusual and only because of the heightened restrictions bc of covid. Normally you need to book well in advance.
