Yummy! I am finally in Arizona. I made a small video of my BLM camping spot in California on my way here, and I sent it to my sister. She referenced it to your videos lol….she really liked your videos. I was flattered. 😊

That looks delicious! Will be making that today for sure. I’ve some Everything but the Elote seasoning from Trader J’s… And will get to use my brand new pie iron. Thank you for the inspiration of pie iron cooking. Fantastic ideas and recipes. 🎊 🎉 😋

Ooooh, I'm definitely trying this one! So good. Kind of a cool vibe doing a cooking video in that environment! Definitely a "Pie Iron Chef" vibe. :) Love it.

LOL it was something new for me, for sure. Not long ago, I would not have been brave enough to set up cameras and video with a bunch of strangers around. Of course everyone was really nice; a few were curious, and I fielded a few questions as best as I could. 😅

@@ShoestringMartha Mad props to you! I think people these days are far more aware of how many of us are out here creating content for KZbin and other channels and probably don't even think twice about seeing cameras as long as the cameras aren't pointed at them. Seems like that was a great place to do a camp cooking video. Very relaxed yet vibrant background. I went to a city park the other day to do a backpacking tent video and that was a big step for me. lol.

OMG this looks SO delicious!! I remember we had a pie iron at home when I was a kid (back in the 80s) and that thing made the best sandwiches. I love it that you use one so much, maybe I should get one again!? 😃

I'm teetering on the brink of pie iron cooking. But since so much of the season is under fire restriction here in AZ, I'd appreciate more onfo on how to use pie iron on my single burner butane stove.

I have also encountered these restrictions, and have had to use my campstove. There are two issues that need to be addressed: 1) the heat is only coming from one side. So you just need keep the heat low, and flip it more often. 2) the long handle makes it "tippy". I usually find a random object to support it. I have been perusing a stovetop sandwich maker, just for this situation. I see these used in some Japanese camping videos (like @tabi-ie-quietnight- ). This is probably the one I'll go with, because it doesn't have grill ridges, and it comes apart, so I can use one side as just a fry pan. I love a multitasker! amzn.to/4294g3Y

With all your skills, I’m sure you can find a way to shorten those long handles for easy use.

I probably *could*. The other part of it is the weight of it. It is *beefy*. I'm using the experience as more motivation to get back in the gym. 😅
