Good video Alan. The dutch army tent really blends into the woodland at this time of year. Looks bloody good.👍

Great tent, just too warm for this time of year.

Even my sweat sweated in sympathy! Although I empathise with loud music, I guess there has to be some advantage to being deaf as a post at times lol 😂

I ended up in just my pants in the sleeping bag. It was bloody hot over night.

Great video Allan. Looked like a brilliant spot and certainly sounded peaceful. The constant birdsong is just the best. So, are the zips on the Dutch tent its Achille's heel? Will it/does it always let in water during/after rainfall? By the sounds of things, the placing of the zips is very important. Really enjoyed the video Allan; best wishes.

Thanks John. I have had mine a few years and its never leaked on me. Long as you treat the canvas ( I do mine once a year) and leave the ends of the zips out, they should be fine. Most cases when they leak is due to poor setup and people not looking after a 30+ year old tent. They are ex-military and some have had a hard life with holes and poor repairs. Al.

Great video chap. I spent a couple of wks kipping in my car, the 1st 9 days i was at a mates and cud stay out of the sun, the last few were on a field in stevenage at the unofficial preppers meet where me and most of the other were gathered in a tight bunch under the shade of my friends shelter being chased by the sun smothered in factor 50. Thankfully next year we will be in the woods there! I feel for you with the music. Even if its good music its not helpful when u need to go to kip.

I Say Allan Old Chap! That's a warm one then but great choice with the Dutch Army being able to open both sides up like that is a game changer. The old mob at the big house are up to their old sacrificial rituals then on a Saturday night 🤣 Great camp mate and a great time to get out behind enemy lines. Great choice to avoid the Beaches with the rest of the 🇬🇧 population 🙄✌️😁 splendid Old Chap!

Can I recommend a series of books I absolutely love? It's from a genre called urban fantasy (magic but set in the modern era). Its by an author by the name of Jim Butcher called The Dresden Files (first book is called Storm Front). One of the many things I enjoy about the series is the use of folklore, mythology and 'old gods)' from around the world, particularly as the series progresses. 🙂

I really miss having a dog, but its just not practical for me at the moment. The videos are always longer when I am solo because I get board on my own. 😁

Always really enjoyed your videos thanks Alan but particularly so for the least 3 months. Not sure why but perhaps expressing some of your personal life and opinions that I very much sympathise with. P.S. I always thought you were 5 ft 5 until you said recently.

I get the chance to film a bit more when doing a solo, its less hassle than trying to film around others. 6ft barefoot, little more with my boots on. 😁
